With The Season Canceled, Are You Trading In NBA2K12?

    As above.

For me I've just been trying to get into the NBA2K12 spirit and was hoping that a deal to officially start the NBA season would make the game enjoyable.

But, with no deal & everyone in agreement we're going to lose this season. Is it worth keeping NBA 2K12?

Im beyond pumped for a NBA season whenever it starts, but honestly with everything basically staying the same as far as NBA2K12 it really doesn't make sense to keep playing it. Anybody else feel like this?

Why would you do that? It makes no sense unless you're trading it in for high profile games like Battlefield, Modern Warfare, or even Batman.

Other than that...you already spent the 60 bucks...why not just keep it until the big patch comes to fix, or at least "band-aid" some of the problems you may have with the game.

But trading it in just for the purpose of doing so? Naw. I would never do that. Never know when you might get the urge to play it again.

Especially with the Roster Share feature.....

I dont get the logic. I thought the point of playing the game was to play your own virtual NBA season. Does having the NBA season coincide with your own matter that much? Not tryna flame or nothing, I'm curious as to the results of the poll.

2k is a great game even though their might not be a season. I don't see why anyone would want to trade in this game.

it WONT happen. we've known this ever since the players initially said that they wanted 57% & NO no caps or profit sharing if we were being honest with ourselves. their fight is honestly about principle which business owners have no sense of when involed with that kind of money & revenue stream.

it was a lose/lose situation for the players to start with & consequently for us also.

that being said, as a roster maker & sim-freak; it is a RELIEF that there is NOT a season. as much as i LOVE the NBA; trying to replicate it was gonna be pretty damn hard this year & now i can actually ENJOY my game instead having to make it mimick every new thing that happens.

(good thing i have an ETERNAL Collective Bargaining Agreement in my 2k associations)

my vote goes to: "keeping my game"

Eh, nah i gotta have some form of NBA basketball to satisfy me. Plus you get ripped off trading stuff in at gamestop for the most part.

I don't get the line of reasoning. Maybe it's because I'm Swedish cause it seems like Americans more equal the real sport as high as the video games.

I don't see why you would trade in a video game you enjoy, or not buy it, just because the real sport isn't playing right now. We're still talking about wanting to play a sports game right?

                        Yeah, actually it does.

Let me help you with my logic.

What is the point of playing a virtual season that doesn't exist with reality?

                        - Online will continue to be us playing with the same rosters from NBA2K11 without any rookies.

                        - Association will continue to be us playing with the same rosters from NBA2K11 with created rookies. Well, not unless you want to get creative and just change players around as if an offseason took place.

                        - My Player is same as above.

What is there to keep our interest?

                              Season is canceled, bro.

BREAKING NEWS: All games canceled up through December 15. Now more than 1/4 of the season has been canceled so far.

All hope went out for any season went out the window when the NBAPA rejected that deal and is trying the de-certification route. Put the case into the courts, which obviously wont make a ruling by the end of next month.

Broussard summed it very well. The only hope we have is the court to lift the lockout temporarily, before the NBA gets a court to overrule that decision and put it back into effect. Same thing happened with the NFL.

Except in this case, Stern & Hunter don't care to lose the season and permanently damage the product.

Which patch? What is it supposed to fix?

All we know is a DLC package is on its way.
