i was a supper p'd off fan, and also p'd off that i couldn't purchase a game using the same rosters as last year because of this lockout. i am pleased that this is over with. It's still worth buying right? I'm a little worried because alot of people i talk to say that the game is jacked up. A few problems they say include: terrible passing, stupid AI's, 3 pointers way too easy to make, etc. Its been 2 and a half months, and 2k hasn't patched this, so maybe they never will?

I am also over here browsing, trying to get an idea for the game. I said I wasn't going to buy the game until the lockout was over so I could have rookies, etc. I also realize that a lot about who come on here and complain are 12 year old's who get mad b/c they can't win by 60 every game. I try and find the more credible posters in each forum for sports games, and go off of their opinions.

Yes, go buy it. With a good pair or sliders + Rosters, you can get games like this

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I was really excited for the game, then less so when there were no updated rosters. Then all the reports of bugs/annoying stuff started coming out, so I really want to know if buying the game is going to be worth it.

just wait for the main patch and all the roster updates to be done, I think sometime before the new year like late December hopefully..

I have put the game down and haven't played it for a 3 weeks now since I'm waiting for these two things....

my player makes me wanna rip my hair out, i cant play it the way it is, think patch will make it playable at least

I will be finally picking this game up in the coming weeks. I just couldn't get it without knowing if the season was gonna happen or not. Now that it most likely will take place i'm gonna buy it.

Bought this game on Day One. The lockout has/had NO effect on me purchasing this game. No way I was gonna miss out on playing with most of the legends I grew up watching on this generation of consoles.

Yes, there are a lot of people complaining about the game, including myself, but the majority of us are optimistic that a patch and roster update can fix the issues that we have with the game. I would say rent it first to see if any of the problems jump out to you; then gauge that experience to see if a patch and roster update would suffice for you in fixing the issues.

Ya'll should pick it up before the patch so you can experience all the stuff people are complaining about before it gets smoothed out.

Kidding. But seriously, if you do get it before the patch do not start an Association or My Player yet because the screwy trade logic will give you a bizzarro mixed-up NBA by your 15th game.

What's the deal with the patch? Is it going to fix the trade logic and/or the gameplay issues? And is there any schedule for it? Don't see a thread about this on the front page.
