Why bother with Heisman trophy?

Led nation in rushing with 1958 yds and 20 tds,and was on top of Heisman list all year only to find my RB not even on the list when the winner was decided. Really? So now I have to hope that is something that's addressed for NCAA 13?
I enjoy the game and all but some of this crap gets old.

Darren Sproles had 1,986 yards and 16 TD's in 2003 and didn't do anything in the heisman either. This is real life.

I had a QB in my Arkansas State dynasty in year 2016 pass for 60 td's and over 6000 yards on heisman, and didnt win. Which I was also playing in the Sun Belt if that changes anything.

If your stats are too good, you won't win it. I have a dynasty going right now where my team is a national powerhouse, but they're in the WAC for now. We're 9-0 right now and my HB is a stud who probably won't get the Heisman. I wouldn't be surprised if he ran for 2,300 yards and 30 TD's. He won't win for two reasons, I'm in the WAC and the stats are too unrealistic. If your player does too well, the game won't award you the Heisman. Also with the WAC thing, every Heisman candidate I can remember has had a big signature game against a really good team that really convinces people like Cam Newton vs. Alabama last year. Running for 250 yards and 4 TD's against Idaho doesn't get the same message across.

Some other things to coNsider would be your teams record, national rank, and whether ur player is injured or was injured as well as if you played in weeks 14 and 15 And or a conf champ game...

I was playing as Florida. Demps missed a few series here and there and was injured during last game of regular season. (out for 2 weeks) My next game was SEC championship (listed as probable and played).
Trent Richardson won the Heisman, and did do better than Demps in our 2 head to head matchups. He finished second in FBS in rushing, almost 500 yards behind me. I'm not upset that he won, but I wasn't even up for consideration at the end.

Yea unrealistic numbers won't get you the heisman. Just look at the numbers montee ball is putting up this year. 1622 yards rushing and 34 total tds.

See Case Keenum 2011-12. He has thrown for booku yards and TD's and won't win it this year.

I agree with Case Keenum, Barkley, and Ball this year. How is it that by the end of the bowl season montee ball will have probably tied or beaten barry sanders record for tds in a season and not win the heisman. Just doesn't seem right. Or keenum breaking almost every record.

Montee Ball isnt considered because like TTU QB's they are considered system RB's. The Heisman has been redefined from best player in the country to the best player on the best team in the country. Suh should have won the Heisman, same can be said for Toby Gerhart but neither did because their teams were average and the media is in love with the SEC.

How stupid is that. Montee Ball's only weakness is that his offensive line is too good. And his coaches put him in a system to succeed. Isn't that what there suppose to do. I hate all this talk about system players. Tim tebow won the heisman and he was a "system QB"

Every player is a system player but when you have one specific player like TTU QB's or Wisconsin RB's are just looked at differently because you can plug in a guy no matter who it is and they will succeed. I think oklahoma qbs are like TTU qb's because they throw just as much but b/c oklahoma always is in the title hunt and is more recognizable they are given a pass.

But Ball is not just a system RB. Its not like the Texas Tech or Hawaii QBs. Wisconsin runs the ball a lot yes but they also pass as well. Its not just the system, its the fact that he's got 5 linemen that are 6'7+ 320+lbs and he is a good back. Its hard to use the "system" excuse for a RB especially when he isn't playing in an option offense, he's playing in a pro style offense. You can use that excuse for TT & Hawaii QBs because they throw the ball 50-60 times a game so of course their numbers will be ridiculous.

But consider this... Montee Ball leads the nation in rushing TDs with 34 despite not having a single carry in the 4th quarter in 6 of their 12 games. Thats nuts.

If Andrew Luck wins then the award is a joke. Luck is a great player but has not really done anything special this year. IMO its between Richardson and Ball with Keenum & Luck behind them.

Agreed but honestly the heisman has been a joke for some time now
