Re: Where Are The Madden NFL 12 Tuner Sets and Online Franchise Roster Updates?

Judging by that response, I'd say a NO! There's not even a simple "we're workin' on it", or "in the near future."

"Not at this time" sounds like PR speak for don't hold your breath.

Really a shame. Last year the NCAA team did, what, 3 tuner sets that I can remember? Don't know what happened this year. I thought it'd be a no-brainer that'd we'd have seen at least 2 by now.

Guess I can stop waiting now.

Re: Where Are The Madden NFL 12 Tuner Sets and Online Franchise Roster Updates?

I wonder what the list would look like for all the pre-released advertised things that never were utilized or done incorrectly by EA since being on these Next-Gen systems?

This isn't nothing new on their part, as they are allowed to work this way during pre-release marketing year after year.

It irks me how they (EA) use dedicated sites like OS to market to 1,000's of the sites members, then dissappear after release and leave their trash/mess for forum mod's to clean up.

This because the frustrations from the members to call EA on such things is pitted against Mod's necessity to enforce forum site rules, while they sneak out the back door until next year's marketing phase.

After 7 releases on Next-Gen, have gamers FINALLY come to realize why "GAMEPLAY" is so important to go into detail about with this developer and the foremost aspect of the game that should have at least a dedicated 2-3 weeks of Q/A before discussion on any other aspect of the game?

      Have we arrived there yet?
Or are facemask, hair, nails, makeup and other visuals still the most important to talk about?

As Skillz noted, they have to acknowledge that there is something wrong with their games gameplay, and his response speaks louder than anything, that they simply do not believe their is anything wrong that would need a Tuner, end of story.

As far as not spending anymore time on this year's release to concentrate on next year.
I remember this being said after the 2007 release with huge wishlist of things that needed fixed.

Got to admit though, utilizing Tuners for their football did sound good and get us excited for a moment.

      Then Reality!!!

This man speaks the truth. EA Sports as a whole still puts out some quality sports games. I dont play anything but football and basketball but the level of quality that FIFA, NHL and PGA Tiger Woods cant be denied. None of these games are developed by Tiburon...

NCAA got 1 tuner set this year.

          Madden probably won't get any.

It's been a frustrating year for football gaming. EA is really getting lazy or they just don't care.

Seems like false advertising to me. That's ok though, I don't trust them anyway. I prefer to do the tuning myself.

Yeah, big surprise. This is why you need competitiveness in the industry. EA also said there would be Kinect support for Madden 12, but big surprise there is none. Just another way for them to get a "new feature" featured article on IGN.
On a separate note I also find it comical how the reasons for the exclusive license continue to contradict one another. It was initially stated that they did not think that 2k fairly represented the game of football. They used the hard late hits in NFL 2k3 as their primary argument. Now years later they decide to allow EA to use the NFL license to produce NFL Blitz (which looks cool but I digress).

Sir you do realize that the NFL is NOT allowing the current blitz to use late hits right?

2k comes back next year, right?
My score for Madden 13: 4.5/10

3 points for graphics, 1 point for the passable commentary, and a half point for the boxart. I can give no further points since the all over the place gameplay would ruin it anyway.

The game isnt that good where they an give us two patches and be done with it. They really need to fix these glitches in the game. Dont they think we gamers arent going too forget what 12 was when 13 comes out. They really drop the ball on this year for both football titles. We need competition in this genre. Any reasonable person can see that, they milking us as football gamers. If madden 13 doesnt have a real halftime show, penalties like both pass interference calls, better inteactions in ol/dl. I'll pass, because its been 7 years and they still pulling this arcade mess with us. There will be games next year that will have my attention, hopefully next-gen will be the answer for these issues....hopefully.

Any updates for the Online Franchise Rosters?

What is the latest on Madden NFL 12 tuner sets?

As many of us already know, tuner sets and surprise onside kicks were announced back in February.

Based off of his response, do you think we see tuner sets for Madden NFL 12?
I would have to believe that there is an issue with the tuners sets or EA believes they are useless. Judging by the amount of Tuners that were released on NCAA when the feature was first released in comparison to this year for both Madden and NCAA I would bet we wont be seeing any tuners.

Just to gauge opinions here... what exactly needs to be tuned?

Me personally, I think it plays pretty well. Much better than anything on this generation. I've stayed out of the bugs and glitches threads this year and really haven't seen a whole lot other than minor hiccups here and there.

I'm not saying it's great or perfect.

Overall, the package that is M12 is a lot more polished than '11 out of the box, but there's still a glaring issue or two that needs some attention. For me, the biggest issue that needs to be tuned is the lack of pressure from the defensive ends vs. the defensive tackles who are overpowered. That alone would make this game for me.

There's also a few other things I have issue with that might only be fixed with a patch like the run-off in franchise mode, or the issue with the ROLB in zone coverage where he'll cross over into the MLB's zone, leaving a void.

yea im not suprised really. i mean take a look at the ncaa 12 online dynasty website update that was "coming soon" and slated for august release....never came out and not a single word of if/when it will ever show up. nothing ea pulls is suprising anymore...the only way it would be was if i havent bought any of their games and compared them with their promises every yr or every other yr...and see how far off with delivering they really are. but to their credit, madden is way better an exp than ncaa is this yr. how that happened, i have no idea.

but at this point im done with ea FOOTBALL...until they add fifa realtime physics, true locomotion that has to be obeyed by all(meaning not just the WR's, but also the DB's who dont and routinely skip breakdown steps and round off 90 degree cuts to cheat to get positioning due to faulty AI), a halftime show, a real online franchise with roster updates, and better AI and translation of difficulty. no reason to support these mediocre at best titles any longer. too many other great games out there worthy of my $60.
