New Legends Available (PS3)

I downloaded Legends Showcase this morning and as soon as I backed out into the main menu I found all the new legends. Now, this isn't as straight foward as it should be so I had to play around with the rosters, but I was able to accomplish what I wanted to do. I'm going to upload the new legends to 2K Share in a little bit but if you haven't purchased this mode the players may appear headless, at least that's what seems to be happening on XBOX. If you want to get the legends yourself here's what worked for me:

WARNING!!! Before you do anything, before you even download Legends Showcase, backup your roster files. Create a dummy roster file that will get corrupted. Even if you have autosave turned off you may lose your previous roster.

As soon as you backout of Legends Showcase and you are in the main menu, you will notice the roster appears screwed up. Most players on NBA teams are now duplicated. This is ok though because this is your dummy roster file. Scroll through the teams and you should see all the legends on their prospective teams. A few legends are scattered, like Yao Ming is on the current Rockets.

Now trade the legends you want to a current team, say the 76ers. Fill the roster with 15 legends. Launch a season with the Sixers. Now export your team.

Next, load one of your older, non-corrupted roster files. Then load your exported team. You should see the 15 legends. Trade them to whatever teams you wish and you are done. Repeat this process until you have all the legends you want.

I haven't tried releasing the new legends into free agency because I was afraid they would get deleted.

Also, once you purchase Legends Showcase you can freely trade and assign the current legends from the 32 classic teams.

I will as soon as I can. I was about halfway through the process when I had to go make some more exported teams. When I loaded the roster file this time it says I can't trade or assign players from created teams. I think I have to start the entire process over. But I will upload them as soon as I'm done so nobody else has to go through this. It looks like I can release the legends to free agency and they don't get deleted so I'm going to try that instead of assigning them to teams so I can save time.

How are you doing this? I bought the DLC and when I back out of it I don't see any of the new legends anywhere, it just loads my most recent roster file when I get to the main menu. What do you mean by the old-roster workaround too?

thank you for the effort. Without guys like (Rockitoldschool and Sellaz), there was no way in hell this DLC was getting a cent out of me. Will let you know it goes. Cheers

Ok, so I did have to start all over which was a royal pain. I'm not exactly sure what causes the glitch but it's something about not going to your home screen after saving your roster file. When you back out of the Legends Showcase the current roster that loads is glitched out. You'll know you have it because you'll see most regular players are duplicated.

Even if you get this it's still tricky. I found that you can only trade players from your exported teams if you export them from Season mode. For some reason if you use Association mode you will get error messages saying you can't trade or assign players from a created team.

I actually moved all the legends 3 times because I was dumb enough not to save my roster file and used Association Mode. It takes forever because there's probably 90 to 100 players. Some of the players are nearly the same so I'm not sure if it was worth it. Like say the younger Pierce is an 82 instead of an 80. But you'll probably want the younger Duncan, Kobe, and Dirk. And most of those guys are on the regular roster if you are looking for them.

I'll upload the roster file to 2K in about an hour. My PSN is RockitOldSchool. If you don't have the DLC the players might appear headless.

I read somewhere that if you haven't purchased the DLC the players will be headless lol. At least on the XBOX.

Ok, it took me a while longer but I finally uploaded the roster under my PSN: RockitOldSchool. All the legends should be there. I put most of them on rosters but some I left on other rosters. You'll just have to look around for them. I started to create some all-time teams but got tired so i gave up for now. I hope this saves some of you some serious time. Most of the players have the correct jersey numbers. There are some duplicates in the free agency pool because older Kobe has been replaced with himself in his prime. I used the default rosters as a base.

One strange glitch you might see is Kenny Walker's picture turned into George Mikkan's. He still looks like Kenny Walker, just his picture changed somehow. Everything else seems to be ok so I'm ok with that one small glitch. Enjoy!

Let me know how it works out for you. After I finished it I went to play a game and the game froze at the home screen. That scared me. But after rebooting I was able to play a game with the new legends. Hopefully there won't be anymore hiccups along the way.

I been experiencing a few freezes like every other game since downloading these, but other than everything else is fine.
