Fix The Team-Up Inbounding!

It is becoming such a nuisance! They finally fixed the online servers, but the glitching with the inbounding is beyond ridiculous! I cannot count how many times people are called for 5 sec., due to the inbounder not being able to get rid of the ball. You can stand still, regular pass, icon pass, move around, sometimes, it will just not allow you to pass the ball in! This needs to get fixed!

They also need the line ups were your not able to pick on certain positions.

Sixers- If you get on Jodie Meeks it switches you to Iggy
Kings-All messed except the big men
Pacers-If you get Granger switches you Paul George

UPDATED LIST:

Yeah inbound passing is delayed. Other things that need to be worked on or added to teamup:

- In-game Substitution method. Screen disappears too quickly or sometimes won't go away at all, sometimes it won't work at all, starter disappears from the list at times, scrolling only in one direction, no confirmation button.

- Steals were tunned down in the latest patch, but there still seems to be too many reach ins that lead to loose balls or steals, especially on players with good ball handling skills. When you do the "protect the ball" stance the ball shouldn't be allowed to be stolen.

- Win/Loss record is missing.

- Calling defensive plays with PG doesn't work.

- Shot feedback system is missing.

- Player movement when trying to move in the opposite direction is too slow & delayed.

- Too many offensive rebounds & put back dunks by the CPU.

- Same match ups and teams over, over, and over again. We need some Legend teams, All star teams, and more variety of teams and match ups to play with. Teams need to be much more random.

- Players should be sweating like last year. It makes the players look alot more realistic.

- Friends invited to play together sometimes end up on different teams.

- Can't exit from lobby, see who's talking, or mute people.

- 2 box scores shown after the game is over. 1st box score shows wrong stats.

- Private teamup, you can't scroll through the players on the team in the lobby.

- D-pad option needs to be added back in order to check our teams health/stamina & points, assists, and rebounds on the fly while playing. We shouldn't have to call a timeout to check it.

- Sometimes if people leave you'll see "Waiting for Opponent" a couple of times count down, then the game will fast forward and skips a bunch of frames. Then it will say "There are no remaining players" and everyone is kicked out.

Agree with all the problems above. Wish we could also see who is talking in the pre-game lobby and be able to mute people like we could last year.

Hope the patch comes soon and addresses these things. Haven't been able to enjoy playing team up yet in 2k12 with all the problems. Its been very disappointing!

Most of the time it's the CPU who is not inbounding the ball.

Just press A (X on PS3) and call for the ball. Problem solved. I do it all the time - most are simply ignorant of this step.

actually no pared not at all
this problem only occurs when its a human inbounding the ball
they are unable to inbound it until the game decides that the person being inbounded to is completely open. and sometimes when ur open the game decides ur not open enough and still wont let u inbound it

this problem only started with one of the patches
and theres nooooo reason or logical explanation on why the game should be allowed to take the freedom of inbounding to whomever we want 2 away
the only solution we have is to throw an inbound oop if you cant get the ball inbounded b4 the 5 seconds and hope u can pick it up b4 the other team

I haven't seen that. Every time I've had to inbound the ball, if icon passing didn't work (similar to what was mentioned here) all I've had to do was press the pass button.

Unfortunately I can't offer any further help but all the times I've seen people "unable" to inbound the ball, all I did was hit the pass button and the ball came to me.

You hit the nail on the head, thats exactly whats happening. Pared, obviously isn't playing with or against random people or else he would understand whats going on. Everytime I've played there are 5 sec calls called constantly due to people not being able to simply inbound the ball to someone else, whether its trying to icon pass or by pressing A. If icon passing doesn't work almost always regular passing won't work either. Its frustrating as hell. Everyone complains about it and gets mad. It needs to get fixed in the upcoming patch.

What makes you think people don't even realize they are the ones inbounding the ball? Either way - like I mentioned whenever someone just sits there I press the pass button and I get the ball.

Pared, you are such an apologist for 2K sports it's not even funny. Just because you're a mod here doesn't mean you can't acknowledge the problems in the game. This bug is widespread and mashing on the A button doesn't work. It's a huge problem that has yet to be fixed.

Pared, I would have to disagree with you some I rarely do..

This happens all the time, if you pass it fast it doesn't work, sometime you have to bring up the icon then hold it before it passes but usually the delay will not work in time, especially when players are playing full court defense. This mainly happens on team ups which 2K did a bad job of creating.

Can't even choose teams or players you want to play with...
