Stanford welcomes Boise to the Pac-12
Cardinal wins war of attrition, buries Boise with 4th quarter blitzkriegComing off last week's humbling loss to Notre Dame, the local media in the Bay Area was anxious to see how Brian Kudron's Stanford team would respond, with top-ranked Boise State arriving on The Farm for a monumental showdown.
Kudron's Cardinal was up to the task, battling the Broncos to a stalemate through three quarters, and blindsiding them with a 24-point explosion in the 4th to run away with the game, 37-21.
"I knew what our guys were capable of," Kudron said. "I knew we weren't as bad as we were last week, and I knew our defense was better than it's shown so far this year. A lot of people counted us out coming into this game, but this is our home field, and we value playing here more than any other team in this league. I don't ever wanna lose here at home, and I've done my best to instill that mindset in my players, and they showed that today."
