#1 Tigers to much for Longhorns
While the stadium was packed with over 98,000 fans, and most of them were rooting for the fall of the #1 Tigers, there was just too much talent and drive for the top ranked Missouri Tigers to fall to the 2-5 Texas Longhorns.
Missouri started the game with a unique twist, they ran the ball down Texas's throat with little passing on the first drive, going up 7-0.
Texas responded by starting a nice little drive but choked on 3rd and 6 when Moore got in the way of a pass and forced 4th down.
Moore stepped up big in the secondary
Missouri kept chipping away on offense, and their defense held. Early on Texas got into the red zone three times, including right before halftime. Missouri faced 1st and goal from the 1 yard line, but S. Ray broke through the line on the first play and sacked C. Wood for a loss of 3. The defensive front held and secondary did not let them down, and Texas had to settle for 20 yard chipshot to make it 21-3. Missouri responded with a quick 73 yard drive capped off by J. Ross catching a 23 yard pass and waltzing it into the endzone, giving Missouri and commanding 28-3 lead as halftime approached.
J. Ross had a great day receiving with 5 catches and 2 TD
Missouri's wicked defense kept pouring it on the second half, and for good reason, their offense stopped making it into the endzone. Missouri's only second half score was on a 1 yard option run by E. Torres with 3:43 left in the fourth quarter that was set up by a pick by K. Hall, but it did not matter as Missouri won handily 35-3.

A. Roach made people forget about D. Washington with a sweet INT late in the fourth quarter in the endzone to prevent a Texas touchdown
Missouri POTG: E. Torres 22/35 for 313 yards and 3 TD, 9 carries for 24 yards and another TD
S. Ray had 8 tackles, 6 TFL, and 3 sacks
A. Roach, B. Moore, and K. Hall had 4, 6, and 5 tackles respectively and 1 INT apiece
