MID-SEASON REPORT:
CONFIDENT BLAZERS HAVE A PASSING GRADE HEADING INTO THEIR FINAL BYE WEEK OF THE SEASON.
BIRMINGHAM, ALA - At 5-0 the Blazers according to many look like the odds on favorite to get back to the National Championship despite their No. 15 ranking in the AP. With a schedule that only pose dangers from Georgia and Florida the Blazers are right where they want to be.
"It's a long season but I like how our guys are playing." Fourth year coach Travis Rhatigan stated. " The intensity is there thats for sure. But what Im proud about is the level of competition these guys bring to the practice field week end and week out."
Some publications are comparing the Blazers to the Miami Hurricanes of the early 2000's. Free Safety Carl Holycross seems to not mind. "It means we're doing something good. Whenever your compared to the greats it means a lot. But we still have a whole season left to play not to mention we've been to the show and havent performed."
UAB will enjoy their last back before getting back to game mode.
