Game Notes
Despire all the trouble they've been through in recent weeks, Stanford remains a heavy favorite over Washington State, as the Cougars are still scraping the bottom of the 16-team Pac-12. Simply put, something is irreparably broken if the Cardinal doesn't beat Wazzu with relative ease. The Cougars have a solid QB in Jeff Tuel, and a pair of great pass catchers in wideout Marquess Wilson and tight end Skylar Stormo, but besides that, this is a roster largely void of talent and depth. Tuel leads the Cougs in rushing with 302 yards and 3.9 yards a carry. After Stormo's 45 and Wilson's 43, no one on the roster has more than seven catches. After Wilson's 565 and Stormo's 447, wideout Bobby Ratliff is next on the team with 96 yards receiving. Wilson and Stormo have caught 11 of the 12 touchdowns thrown by WSU quarterbacks this season. No offensive line has proven able to slow down Stanford's pass rush this season, and the Cougars' line is probably the worst in the conference.
