LONGHORNS GROUND ATTACK GET THEM PAST OKIE STATE

• Austin, TX - In the end the dynamic duo of Russ and Pace got the Longhorns past the #7 Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Cowboys were step for step with the Horns trailing only 24-21 at the half, but third quarter scoring runs of 68 (Russ) and 72 (Pace) gave the longhorns a comfortable 38-21 lead before holding off the Cowboys for the win, Russ a Heisman candidate finished with 119 yards on 11 carries and Pace finished 118 on 10 carries. The Longhorns improve to 9-0.
