ReDraft
If there was a draft of every single player in the NFL who would be the first pick? You have to think about skill, age, position importance, injury rate, etc.Madden 25 - Steelers
Year 1 - 10-6 Lost in WC Round
Year 2 - 14-2 Lost in AFC Championship
Year 3 - 11-5Tags: None -
Re: ReDraft
I'd take Aaron Rodgers, and to be honest it's not even close. He's got some years left, makes more types of throws than anyone in the league, has mobility, and quarterback is the most important position on the field.
Cam Newton is another interesting choice, but the jury is kind of still out on him to me. -
Re: ReDraft
Aaron Rodgers, Cam Newton, Ndamukong Suh, Calvin Johnson, Aldon Smith, or Jimmy Graham depending on who's picking.
I think Aaron Rodgers would have the best chance of going first though. I think any of them could go first depending on who's selecting first though.Comment

Re: ReDraft
Are you talking about just current players or pick any player in history during his prime?Gamevid4 |videos by DCAL |

Aaron Rodgers.
Already at the top of his position, and he's still relatively young.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: ReDraft
If it is just current players Aaron Rodgers would be the pick, although I would be seriously tempted to take Rob Gronkowski the way he has played this year.Gamevid4 |videos by DCAL |

Re: ReDraft
I think you have to start with a quarterback, so aaron rodgers is the smart and safe choice. proven, gifted and a class act. the riskier but possibly more rewarding pick would be the younger cam newton.
i duno if i'd consider taking gronk with the very first pick of the draft...you're basically saying you'd build your franchise around a tight end.Comment

Re: ReDraft
Top few picks would probably be QBs and D players, but the next players chosen from the offensive side it would be hard to pass on Graham/Gronk they change offenses and drastically effect defenses.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: ReDraft
You make it sound like if he was older then he wouldn't get picked first LOL.
Just say you'd take Breesus Christ, man. At least then I could understand it and it would make more sense than saying "Oh Rodgers would get the nod because of his age". It's perfectly ok to be a homer around here despite the grief people get for it LOL.
Hell, I'd take Rodgers first(shocker I know)and then followed by Andre Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Jimmy Graham and Breesus Christ.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: ReDraft
you would take jimmy graham over rob gronkowski? questionable. and i'd probaby take a tailback before another quarterback. arian foster or adrian peterson maybe? You make it sound like if he was older then he wouldn't get picked first LOL.

Re: ReDraft
im assuming he means that if tom brady, aaron rodgers and peyton manning or whoever else were all the same age, the choice wouldn't be as easy.Comment

Re: ReDraft
Good RBs are easier to find and generally have shorter career spans than franchise QBs. Granted a truly elite guy like AP would be hard to pass up on, but there do seem to be more good/great RBs in the league than QBs.Comment

Re: ReDraft
It really shouldn't be if you look at their situations on their current teams. Hell, this is only his 3rd year of playing football PERIOD and he already looks THIS good.you would take jimmy graham over rob gronkowski? questionable.
Big Ware with Willis in a close, close 2nd and Allen in 3rd.Who would you choose if you had to pick a defensive player? Suh, Allen, Miller, Willis, Ware?
Consistency is key for me.Last edited by ProfessaPackMan; 12-21-2011, 02:18 PM.#RespectTheCultureComment
