    EA Contract expired with NCAA?

Is this a rumor or is 2k back in the fold? i cant seem to find any straight answers elsewhere?

And if it is indeed expired and other developers make a game would it sell?

well the other developers stopped making a college football game because it wasn't selling, so I'm not sure if they would try again. If they were able to make an NFL game along side of it so the cost wouldn't be so great, It could happen.

Exactly, the only way making a CFB game would be cost effective is making a NFL along with it.

EA's version. 2K has no player models or game engine or anything, really.

For some reason, I dont think NCAA Football will make it to Next-Gen. I just have that feeling. With Roy Harvey at Madden now, Im not even sure who is overseeing NCAA. I think NCAA 13 could be final game.

I hope 2K gets back in the fold at some point with NCAA and NFL, i think EA could use some competition. EA's games are getting stale

Why is this hard to believe. 2k stopped making college bbal in 07 and ea did in 09.

NCAA Football 12 probably sold more than College Hoops 2K8, NCAA Basketball 09 and NCAA Basketball 10 combined. Unless the college licensing fee was increased to the point of being cost prohibitive, there isn't any reason why they would cease production of a title that moves a million plus units every year. It's fundamentally illogical.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

My main thought is because college games doesnt have a great market. Sure there is alot of hardcore guys, but it is hard to sell the casual guys who arent into college FB. With the cost of development most likely going up, it is likely that they might stop it. Especially, if they were to start off next gen like this gen. I would definitely love to see NCAA make it to Next gen with possible better graphics and more space to add features and possible real-time psyhsics. But, they would have to hard sell guys at top to continue this series.

I dont think the license would increase. Nor do I think another company would get into it. 2k or any other company would have to/or already come up with a new engine, player models, graphics/audio system. And that is not even counting the years that have of developing after they made their before they can even can compete/or be at a competing live with EA.
I think if they focus on Gameplay, Audio(Presentation/Commentary), Depth in offline modes(Dynasty and RTG), and Freezing/Loading Issues, NCAA 13 could be the best game of next gen/series.

EA isn't going to stop making ncaa games. This NCAA franchise is still the #3 selling sports franchise behind Madden and NBA 2k. So as long as they can still make nhl and mlb games, they'll still make college football games

Personally i think college football has a HUGE market. even if the peak window is before NFL season starts. Sales are Sales!

I dont think 2k would start from scratch . all pro 2k8 engine is still phenomenal! just a graphical upgrade. and whos to say these last 4 years they havent been coming up with something?!! I honestly do think any alternative to an EA football franchise would be more than welcome addition at least for year 1 ! if they lower the price at release. Just my take

I wasnt sure about how NCAA ranked in sports games. But if they are in the top 3 like someone said(even top 5), then I think it it can continue than.

Ncaa 11 outsold nhl, nhl 2k, the show, and mlb for that year. It does fine.
