NCAA 12 needs to take notes from NBA 2k12

Seeing all these daily updates that NBA 2k12 is doing, where they're adding shoes and jerseys makes me wonder.. why NCAA 12 hasnt thought of this? This is what everyone has been looking/asking for and i know NCAA fans would even pay for it as DLC. Maybe seeing 2k do it will force EA to up their ante and quit being lazy.

Dude it's EA. I believe if 2k sports was still making an NFL game it would blow madden away. I'm an EA ***** because I see the progress 2K has made in presentation in NBA and MLB, how the commentary isn't as repetitive as Madden and NCAA.

Ncaa is the best EA sports title by far, but it's presentation ain't in the same immerse ball park as 2K titles. I mean in both NBA and MLB they talk about the previous games stats, previous years stats.

For some reason the developers for NCAA keep saying that they cant add in uniforms in the game as they are released throughout the season, but if 2K is able to do it then why wouldnt the NCAA team be able to do it? I want to play as Ok St but i cant bear to use them with last years jerseys and not their sweet new upated ones. I would deff pay to get jersey updates as DLC.

One can't compare the two different sports when it comes to shoes and uniforms updates.......

With all the things wrong with this game, uniforms and shoes should be the least of people problems.

But anyway, I will explain why they can't.

1. You can't add stuff without permission from the SCHOOLS. Believe it or not, some schools don't want certain jerseys or other athletic equipment in the game. If the school says NO, then EA can't.

Only reason why 2k can add holiday shoes and holiday jerseys in the game is because they have PERMISSION from the League and from the the team.

Trust me, that stuff was pre-planned months in advance part of the overall marketing strategy. Not like they suddenly heard about it last week and instantly created it. Everybody knows months in advance what shoes people will be wearing on certain holidays and what jerseys they will have for specific holidays as well.

Over all marketing strategy dictates:

Kids will buy those NBA jerseys and shoes in REAL LIFE. So really NBA 2K12 is nothing but an extended commercial for all the basketball shoe makers. And 2K has licenses from all of them and PERMISSION from all of them months in advance. They all working hand in hand.

2. There are only 30 NBA teams, compared to 120 Div 1 college football teams. It is a lot easier to get 30 owners together to form a plan of what can be used and what can't be, then it is to get 120 school reps to come to the SAME agreement.

Bottom line, you have to have PERMISSION. No company has free reign to add whatever they want to add. Doing that is the fastest way to loose your license.

So it isn't like they haven't thought about it, they just don't have permission from NCAA and the individual schools themselves to use stuff.

It isn't laziness. EA does this with their "good" games. They are ashamed of their product. I remember when it was nearly two months without hearing a word from them.

Never again will I buy this game on release.

It'd be so much easier for them to give us the option to import extra uniforms to the teams through a more customizable TB. No licensing issues either!

Some of it would require removing the half a$$ work they do and actually remove the bandages.
