See I think the problem is the word "bumping"...what we are all are looking for in actuality is appropriate contact.
There needs to be just as many variations of defender/ballhandler collisions as there is crossovers, spins and layups. Now I know this may be asking a lot considering the number of animations in the game, but I believe with animation blending, the minds at visual concepts can create a short cut.
That is a huge undertaking, so in the mean time, I would just take more hip-riding animations (the patch made a couple more prevelant) and more 2-player animations (collision and evasive) in the paint. Also, they HAVE to implement the collision part of the canned hopstep and spin animations from last year.
As of now, you can hop into a crowd like last year, but worse. Why? Because in 2k12 there is no contact and your defenders are more likely to jump on their own taking them out of position and creating oppurtunities to draw fouls
