Luck is gonna be better in the college all star games and in the combine and he's gonna move back over RG3. He's a much safer choice.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
NBA: Dallas Mavericks
MLB: Texas Rangers
NHL: Dallas Stars
NCAA: Alabama Crimson Tide

No, it wasn't you but it was posted on here yesterday.
It is a joke topic because Luck is the most "NFL ready" QB to come out in about 15 years.Comment

Definitely Luck with the #1 pick...but I also definitely think that RGIII is better value if you trade down to #6 or 7 and get a couple of future first rounders...especially if you're the Colts. RGIII under Manning's tutelage would be very interesting.-Rocky Balboa"Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."Comment

proof? so you think this isn't even up for discussion? open and close, RGIII has NOTHING on Luck?
RGIII has better wheels, accurate rocket arm, great completion percentage, great TD to INT ratio, Heisman winner, blah blah blah. Not only does he have ALL the physical tools to play the QB position, but he rarely gets confused while under center. He many not be calling all his own plays like Luck did, but he's proven that he's also a great college quarterback.
I don't see the humor in it.Comment

Robert Griffin is a fine player, but not taking Andrew Luck (who is considered by pretty much any and all "experts" to be the closest thing to a sure thing in a very long time) with the first pick is simply foolish.
If a team was dead set on RG3 instead of Luck, then they should do as Rocky suggested and trade down to get him. I'm not saying he sucks, but taking him with the first pick would be absurd.
Luck is the 100% stone cold lock first pick no matter what. The only way he isn't is if he suffers some sort of crazy injury or is dead before April. Book it.Comment

Idk tbh both have different skillsets and i'm not completely sold on Andrew Luck being the next potential elite QB until I see him play an NFL downSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

I'm not saying I disagree with you, but I think it's a worthy discussion. There are certainly rumblings that certain personnel directors in the NFL are as high on RG3 as they are on Luck.
And it wouldn't be absurd to be taking RG3 over Luck with the 1st overall. Mentally, Luck is head and shoulders above the rest of the QB draft class. But who says RG3 won't eventually catch up to him? He's already got Luck physically beat.Last edited by snowfish; 12-30-2011, 04:27 PM.Comment

Re: Colts (or whoever has #1 overall) - Andrew Luck or RGIII?
It's not that bad of a topic given the situations.
For the Colts RG gives them a better shot at keeping Manning around if they want to.
The Vikings using a 1st rounder on a QB 2 years in a row?
Are the Rams ready to give up on Bradford? Browns and McCoy? Bucs and Freeman?
To me drafting Luck says "get out" and drafting RG says "you can stick around for a while" to the current QB.Comment

Honestly, I like RGIII more and would go against the experts on this one. Seems to play better in the big games than Luck(from what I have seen) but will wait for the bowl game against Okie State to really pay attention and maybe change my mind.Comment
