CLEMSON HIGHLIGHTS RECENT REALIGNMENT
- For the past few years Clemson University has tipped toed on the topic of heading to the SEC but with A&M and UAB making the move there was no reason for the Tigers to join. But recents talks have got serious highlighting reason why they should join the SEC. With the schools biggest rival being South Carolina it was a no brainer for them to join the SEC East but what other school was the SEC gonna add with them. Talks brought Southern Miss and even Missouri. But Southerm Miss would need to build a bigger stadium and the Big 12 wasn't letting Missouri go for free. Then Kentucky stepped to the plate. Feeling they would have a better chance at competing in the SEC Kentucky elected to swap with Clemson and a NCAA vote agreed. The changed started another chain of events however.
UL Monroe, who has been quite successful in the Sun Belt jumped ship to Conference USA after conference champ Marshall joined the Big East.

Clemson -----> SEC East
Kentucky ----> ACC Coastal
UL Monroe ---> Conf USA
Marshall -----> Big East South
