    This Is Stupid

    I still cant understand how the madden team does not take assistant coaches seriously. They are so important in times like this, Not every head coach gets a new head coaching job after they are fired. Its the assistants they get hired to start off fresh.


    I just wish they would keep the likeness of former head coaching that are still in the nfl so that when you sign they look similar to the real person

    problem with madden 12 there are no real assistant head coaches in the game THAT SUCKS HOW COULD THAT HAPPEN.

    I would love to hire Romeo Crennel as my head coach but he is not in the game, I would love to hire Don campers or even Dick Lebeau as my head coach.

    this is my plea for madden 13 developers

    - bring fire coaching during mid-season

    - bring real assistant coaches back with there likeness if they were for former head coaches or not

    -Put a GM role in the game to so i can fire them left and right when i have terrible simulated years.

      That would be great, right now Coaches don't really matter to teams much, you have coaches that add +3 to one stat and -3 to another. That doesn't reflect anything like what real coaching reflects. Instead of these sliders, coaches should come with schemes. Mike Smith the head coach of the Falcons is known for his smashmouth style but someone can take him and go to a spread offense with limited running and it doesn't make a difference in madden but do that in real life and look at how the Falcons had a difficult time passing this season because they tried to go to a more pass oriented offense with virtually no offseason to adjust. I would love to see headcoaches bring more to the table than slight modifiers.

      I would like to be able to hire Mike Smith to bring in a smashmouth style and bring more production out of my runningback and tight end but in doing so make my wide receivers and quarterbacks less productive but if I want to be more effective at passing and give more production to them and make them more effective bring in an assistant coach as an offensive coordinator that is known for producing good quarterbacks or wide receivers to help balance out the passing aspect of my gameplan.

      I think that would be an awesome addition to the franchise (for both online and offline franchises).

      The GM idea is also cool because you could have a GM that brings great moral (if they ever bring it into madden) but isn't a great negotiator so you may have to pay more for contracts but because team moral is up those guys performer better as a unit.

      Things like that would be awesome, but chances are it won't be happening anytime soon.

          Dom Capers is my Head Coach... Are you not searching for the coaches that are available?

              Yeah, this is what I was wonderiing. I haven't played M12 offline franchise enough to get into the offseason coaching changes but M11 had the real coaches and coordinators aside from Bill Belicheat.

              Now as far of them having a realistic impact goes, this could definitely be done better and hopefully will for M13.

                  That's what is sad...

                  Madden 11 has them and Madden 12 doesn't. Madden 12 has the head coaches that started the season but their assistants have fake names and do not look like the guy either. They take something out again, surprise surprise!

                      pretty sure he means their likeness isnt in the game ex. if you hire capers or crennel as head coach when you play the game the coach on the field doesnt look like them.... i hate that too, forces me to hire only out of the 31 they do have
                      Only the truest Buffalonians know what it is to stick with your hometown teams. Eventually we will be rewarded with a Super Bowl or Stanley Cup Championship. The ONE thing I want to see most before i leave this world. What a day that would be.

                          I wish someone can sticky this thread so everyone over at EA can see this. This needs to be heard NOW, so we don't have this problem in Madden 13.

                          Every Madden game to my knowledge from 2001-2010 had real NFL OC's and DC's but for some reason starting in Madden 11 they put fake ones in the game. WHY? No one from EA will give me an answer.

                              I remember once in M08 I fired Crennel and hired a DC from another team to coach the Browns.....(forget who atm)

                              But on the sidelines, he was nothing but a silver image (think Terminator 2).

                              Never tried again since.....

                                  I read somewhere that the reason Bellicheck isn't in Madden is because EA has a liciense with the NFL Coaches Club(???) and he is the only current HC that is not a member. Could explain why some assistant are and/or are not in the game. I play as the Rams(I do use differnt playbooks, both rams suck horribly), DC Flajole is in the game but OC J Mcdaniels isn't. There is another thread on this sight that has a pretty decent list of who the coaches really are. I know for a fact there some missing, but still pretty good none the less.

                                      Item no. 354 that was in Ps2 yet is not in the current gen system. Seriously this game should at least be cheaper for ps3 since they clearly stopped caring.

                                          NFL Coaches' Union. Also the reason you don't see coaches like Fisher or Cowher that aren't or weren't in the league as free agent coaches.
