For the love of god bring back fight for fumble.

I am sick of playing games and when a fumble occurs , the first person there automatticly get it but just because someone gets there first IRL it does not mean they come out with the ball. There is no competition when a fumble occurs.

There's really one player out there who liked that feature? Wow, never expected that.

I turned it off but it still had the computer fight for the fumble and it was a nice cutscene and sometimes you didn't know who would come out with it

That's exactly the problem and why it was rightfully taken out. Even with Fight for the Fumble turned off, it still screwed up everything.

Several times I had a ball fumbled, one of my players jumps on it with literally no one around him for at least a yard, he clearly recoveres it and is just about to get up when over a yard away, some CPU player goes to the ground and it triggers the "fight" cutscene, with the CPU recovering.

I quite clearly am not the only person who want the feature back? and if you do not like button mashing then you might as well go play arcade because you will be playing an unrealistic game in which who ever gets there first wins when that is not always the outcome. Even so it should have the option to turn it on or off. Simple. If you like it turn it on if you don't turn it off. At least give people the option.

I didn't like it either. It just seemed that it was very easy to get the ball since I would always win the contest. Means that I would get 80% of the fumbles, not realistic.

this option was as bad as the rewind one they had make a mistake fumble or throw pick no problem u can erase your mistake the FFF was another with all button mashing it wears out your controller.

Yeah but at least I could just switch rewinds off. FFF screwed up fumble recoveries even if you turned it off.

Re: For the love of god bring back fight for fumble.

Typically the first person to clearly possess the ball, comes away with the ball.

Now if you want the ball to not warp into the hands of players and be more fluid in its motion than I agree, but fight for the fumble was aweful.

Now I am all for bringing the vision cone back though.

True, except it shouldn't be determined by pushing buttons fast and if a player CLEANLY recovers it - it shouldn't trigger the "fight scene" just to make the mini-game start.

It should be based on the ratings of the players (like STR) fighting for the ball and stuff like that.

How is the first person getting to the ball recovering it not realistic? That's how it is majority of the times. Now you do have those that try to do to much and bobble the ball or push it, there for not getting possession but until we get better ball physics/interact with players hands, that's about as good as it gets.

And actually, it's by far not everytime the first player who gets there to gain possession, a ton of times you see players diving for the ball and miss it in the game.

What the problem is in the game is that it gets it the wrong way around. In reality, the ball movement is completely unpredictable while the players move in a much more controlled fashion, obviously.

In Madden, the ball almost never bounces around, while the players jump around like crazy squirrels around it which looks pretty stupid.

I loved the feature, but always turned off the button mashing part. I loved watching the players jump in and get pulled off the pile. The random motion shifting ball need to go.
