Re: "Dragon Breath" A UAB Dynasty (NCAA12)

ESPN COLLEGE FOOTBALL LIVE
Monday Oct 5th, 2015

TIDAL WAVE:
BAMA MAKING A SPLASH AFTER 58-13 WIN OVER GATORS:

  • Looks like the Tide are for real after the first quarter of the season Alabama although ranked 4th in the coaches poll looks to be one of the most dominating teams this season. They passed the Gator challenge last week at home and look to surge through the SEC West conference. With games against undefeated Ole Miss and one loss LSU left as well as the always tough Iron Bowl, Nick Saban isnt buying the media hype. "One day your with us, the next day your not. We know there is still a lot of football to be played. There is still the defending champs on the other side of the conference (UAB) we're gonna continue and improve hope to keep this seasons success going." Bama's defensive lione may be the best in the country, through five games they have three players with at least four sacks with Clint Williams leading at 6.0. Alabama has a bye week before its big divisional match up with Ole Miss in two weeks.
AROUND THE NCAA:
  • Dyks and the Champs gaining steam, move to 7th in latest polls
  • A new #1, Badgers hope to keep it this time
  • #15 Gators hope to bounce back in the swamp with #11 LSU visiting
  • Trojans may have found their nitch after last weeks Cal win
  • Red River Shootout, Sooner looking for upset
  • Defensive front: Bama/UAB, SEC futures nations top defensive lines
  • Ole Miss tries not to look ahead with a sneaky Vandy team facing them
  • Utah looks to avenge last seasons losses to Cal this weekend
  • Big Ten futures a pair of big matchups - Iowa/Nebraska and Penn State/Ohio State all sit at 4-1
  • Illinois quietly gaining momentum

GAME OF THE WEEK:

#11 LSU (4-1) at #15 Florida (4-1)
--- This is a huge SEC cross divisional match up. LSU is trying to stay pace for pace with undefeated Alabama and Ole Miss in the West while Florida is trying to not to fall two games behind UAB in East. Both teams come into this matchup rather healthy, LSU brings in a four game winning streak after a tough loss to Georgia to start the season. Led by Senior Adrian Porter second in the SEC with 15 touchdown passes, he's poised to get LSU to a BCS game this season. He has plenty of weapons like tailback Ted Kennedy the SEC leader in rushing yards. Its no secret the SEC has the best defensive linemen this year and LSU may have the best one in Senior Paul Fowler (6.5) it will be key for the Gators to know where he is.
For the Gators, they got embarrassed by these Tigers in Baton Rouge last year. There are a year better and at home. The Gators had no answer for Bama last week after winning four straight. Vincent Waller will need to bounce back. He needs to find a way to get James Daniels the ball, the play making wide out is averaging 16 yards per catch with five touchdowns, lost in the mix is Kyle Clarke he needs to show up. The Gators defense has not be opportunistic this year, they need to create turnovers and force Porter to make decisions.
