WHAT ABOUT US?
RHATIGAN FEELS HIS BLAZERS ARE THE TEAM TO BEAT:
Photobucket
  • Enough Talk about Bama, enough with Wisconsin, Oregon, cant even mention Texas anymore after their loss. The champs are back in the mix and want their due respect. "Last I checked, we're defending champs!" Rhatigan said on a conference call with Mike and Mike this morning. After two near losses by Southern Miss and Mississippi State the champs look to have turned the curve. Two more road games and they finsh the season with four straight home games a place where they have yet to lose under Rhatigan's watch. "It'll still be tough for us, we travel to Florida, then at home we have Ole Miss, Georgia and Louisville. Our guys have to be ready week in week out." Said Rhatigan. When asked if they'll repeat Rhatigan had this to say. "I know a few ofour guys are listening, I tell them to be confident in everything they do but within the parameters of our system. I think we have the team to repeat but its up to them to get 'er done." The Blazers are back in the top 5 and are very well one of the favorites to win.

GAME OF THE WEEK:

#7 Ole Miss (5-0, 2-0) at Alabama (5-0, 3-0)
  • We've seen Bama on the national stage with impressive wins over Boise State, Georgia and Florida. We know what that offense led by Ryan and Childress can do. We know that Bama has one of the best defensive front sevens in all of college football. But we dont know too much about Ole Miss. The rebels claim to fame is a 28-24 win over then ranked Fresno State. Their opponents win/loss record is 7-15. But dont tell them that. Ole Miss ranks fifth in points per game at 41. Their defense ranks in front of Alabama's #3 defense with the #2 ranking. Their pass defense is equally impressive with the #1 ranking. Ole Miss will need to find a way to get quarterback Gary Cameron time, hes one of the most sacked qb's in the conference at 16 facing a tough pass rush again this week. Running back Kevin Reed leads the conference in rushing yards and touchdowns (674, 11td) he may be the wild card for the upset.
