    player progression

random question about player training and growth... if i have player who initially might be a running back (so he has 90 speed and 90 some accl, with 40 throw power and accuracy) if i convert him to quarterback (via position changes in offseason)... will I see enough growth in his passing skills that eventually he will be a viable starter for my read option offense?

You'll see growth. Whether it's enough to make him a viable QB is another matter.

He'd probably only grow like 6 points max.. I might be wrong tho..

      Go after a athlete imo.

He won't progress as much as you would like.
If you red shirt him, you'll get high 50's low 60's by just natural progression by his senior year.

Not that he won't be good for straight up option, but when you actually throw in "ehhh". Actually editing him a little, like taking some of his WR abilities to THP/THA he would.
