This is pretty spot on. I did take draft potential into consideration when doing ratings, but not to the extent needed to make a truly accurate draft class. For truly accurate draft classes, I would have had to switch some positions around (DE's to 3-4 OLB, DT's to 3-4 DE, etc) and would have had to crank down some of the classic great college players who don't project to the pro's (ie. Kellen Moore).

Re: Mustangs84/Community Roster
Great job with the rosters, Mustangs. Here's a couple things I would consider:
REMOVE MICHIGAN WR DARRYL STONUM
Darryl Stonum was dismissed from the team earlier this week, and will not be returning. He did not play a single minute in the 2011 season because he was suspended, but was expected to come back for the 2012 season as a RS Senior. On the community roster he was removed from the depth chart but left on the roster. He should be removed all together, as he is simply taking up a roster spot when in fact he played his final game for the Michigan Wolverines in 2010 (excluding the Gator Bowl on Jan. 1, 2011).
SS Jared Van Slyke, a RS Senior, #31, 6'2", 195 lbs. white kid from Missouri, should, in my opinion, be his replacement. Van Slyke got playing time in 12 out of 13 games in 2011, but is not in the game. Another option: CB Tony Anderson (overall 74-76), who saw action in a couple of games, mostly on Special Teams. He is black (no dreads), RS Senior, #17, 5'11", 195 lbs. from California. The only problem is that WR Jeremy Jackson is already #17. Other options (in order of importance): RT Erik Gunderson, C/LT Joey Burzynski, RB Michael Cox, K/P Seth Broekhuizen. I would go with Van Slyke (overall 79-81).
Also, consider replacing Freshman C Jack Miller with Burzynski (overall 73-75). Burzynski saw some playing time this year and is currently higher on the depth chart, yet Miller is the one in the game. I realize it is important to have some freshmen, but Burzynski was a RS Freshman himself this year, and Gunderson was a RS Sophomore, although he is not a center. Seth Broekhuizen was our K/P a couple years back, but has since fallen behind Wile, Gibbons, and Hagerup, so I would not recommend putting a fourth K/P on the roster. Mike Cox is a decent back, but considering there are already five RBs on the roster, I would avoid him as well.
Also, I would consider boosting Denard Robinson's speed up to a 96. I know draft scout has him at a 4.39 second 40 time, but I would say that his average is about a 4.32, with a low of 4.30. He's one of the most explosive players in college football history. I think he deserves a higher speed.
Again, great job.Last edited by bannedkt; 01-18-2012, 08:59 PM.Comment

As far as Miller, I'm not going to be removing him. At this point he is the only true underclassmen at center...that's even taking into account the incoming 2012 recruits. Meanwhile, Burzynsyki and Gunderson are both walkons, and with the 2012 OL class looking pretty stellar (especially if they manage to snag Garnett), neither of those guys are likely to see significant playing time at Michigan.
I've also debated removing Terrence Talbott, considering he barely played this year, and replacing him with Tamani Carter. Minor move, but probably makes sense.Comment

Re: Mustangs84/Community Roster
Hey fellas. I do plan on releasing another update...in fact, it's pretty much done. However, my Xbox has recently decided it will only play certain games, and NCAA isn't one of them. I'm pretty sure it's a laser issue.
Anyways, hold tight for a bit. I plan on picking up a new unit before the weeknd's done, so I'll have something for you over the next week.Comment
