Stanford loses six
Five early exits, one transfer open up space on the roster

PALO ALTO, CA - Stanford is just about at their previous limit for the 2015 recruiting class, and it seems unlikely to jump in on any new prospects this late in the process.

However, recent events seem to have given the upcoming 2016 class several more spots, as five Stanford players have announced their intentions to leave The Farm early for the NFL, while a sixth will transfer.

Linebacker James Vaughters, running back Remound Wright, defensive tackle Lance Callihan, and cornerbacks Quinn Fogle and Scott Mitchell have donned the Stanford 'S' for the final time. All five had outstanding 2014 seasons for the Cardinal, and while their departures will be felt, to be sure, Stanford has done an exceptional job recruiting their positions under Brian Kudron.

Also, redshirt sophomore safety Tony Parrish, who lost the starting strong safety competition last offseason to true sophomore Curtis Webb, has been granted his release and will transfer to North Division rival Boise State.
