If by "dash" you mean a stepping move, you flick the left stick in any direction, if you are looking for more of a "running" movement click in on the left stick and move it towards your opponent.

It's been upgraded from flaming hot garbage to regular garbage. Though based on the impressions that's what I figured. I can give it a bit of credit for having some spectacular KOs and Bas is great on commentary but most of the major problems are still there. Pacing, movement etc. and newly disaster is the clinch game where the AI manages to transistion before you have the chance to hit a button most of the time. The other guy on Pride commentary is terrible. "Oh helllllllll yes a one punch knock out!!!!!" Leg kicks seem useless, you can't defend off of them anymore apparently so chances are you're going to get punched in the face for every leg kick. Same thing on the ground as in the clinch,reverse-block repeat, try to get a punch or something in. I eventually did. Submission system does fall under flaming hot garbage. I thought the chokes in EA MMA were bad but holy crap.

Thanks man. I was speaking about "running" in order to perform a flying knee or a superman punch.

I have a couple more questions if you or someone else is kind enough to answer.

          - Is there anywhere online I can find some of these moves? I didn't see the following in the timeout-->action list.

          - How to cage walk when up against the cage?

          - How to catch a kick?

          - Ground Sway?

          Thanks in advance.

            1. Not sure where to find the moves if not in the Action List.

            2. I am not positive on how to cage walk, I haven't played much in the UFC version, so maybe someone else can help you out on that.

            3. To catch a kick, flick the right stick down for a body/leg kick and up for a head kick. It is all in the timing, you can also catch punches this way too and go directly into a clinch.

            4. Ground sway is up and down on the left stick.

Cage walk was just a transistion.
For flying knees double tap towards your oppoent.

Actually managed to have a full 10 minute round in Pride mode. Only one but that's still an improvement over nothing.

Yes. To each his own. Some like it but I think most players dont. I dont like that game either. I deleted EA MMA demo after playing it a couple of times. I was just not impressed.

In Pride mode, once your opponent gets down on all-fours, you can kick his face hard like a soccer ball by simply pressing the kick button. It's automatic.

The biggest issue I had with EA MMA was after 5 punches (standing, clinch, or ground) or three side kicks your guy gets so tired that it looks like his diet consists of McDonalds food. I dont understand how an athlete who trains every day could be tired so quickly and these guys train harder than football players. I was so frustrated with the game that I put the controller down and swung five times and I wasnt breathing heavy. The other issue was the slow punch speed, kick sliding, and poor hit detection.

Well the trick with leg kicks is that you need to be at a nice distance and throw them in singles. I find clinching, moving your man against the cage, then doing a single or double leg hold against the cage allows you to knee the guy in the legs until they turns red in the damage hud. I was able to get 88% damage in both legs. But do to the short time in both Pride and UFC I still havent got a leg tko.

How many of those punches were jabs?

It did regenerate back to full if u delayed your striking for a sec.

My goodness that 2nd Pride guy is terrible. Got a soccer kick KO and he says: "If you want to score a field goal you have to punt." What? Bas was all "What do they do in soccer? GGGOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLL" and that made sense at least. Plus that other guy is just kind of a jerk. Can we turn him off and only have Bas?

This might be worth a rental just to see what can be done.

So I figured out how to get a sub in Pride and tried it in UFC. Again proving the sub system near useless an empy of stamina Silva gets out of a sub from the worst possible posistion (mounted crucifix) and ends up in side control. This is ridiculous.

Pulled off a german suplex to RNC...didn't get out of that one.

I think I'm sold. A sim it is not, but it seems really fun, and I just love the PRIDE mode. Also, are you sure you're not being overly nostalgic over EA MMA? It was a good game, but the AI in it was also too aggressive. It would keep coming forward with punches even when it had no stamina left, and there was nothing I could do to make the AI back off. It was always just a matter of time until I either got rocked by the wild punches, or knocked the CPU out with some counters. Not even hitting the AI with a strong move would make it back off, as it would simply take the hit and keep pushing forward. At least in Undisputed 3 you can make the CPU calm down.

I tried really hard to get a german suplex KO,I don't think it's possible.
