Could I put it to sleep/on standby that night without having exited the game, wake it up the next morning, and be able to resume play without killing my battery?

As you see our problem, nine innings of baseball without in-game saves makes it kind of tough to manage exactly when you can play the thing. I can't just play ten minutes on and off and complete a game without fear of having my battery eventually die in between playing times, for instance.
I think you misunderstood. You CAN do an in-game save... you just can't take an in-game save and transfer it across the Cloud.

The only thing I don't like about the in-game save is that the pitcher/pitch confidence gets lost. Apparently this hasn't been fixed in 12, so if there is hibernation/suspend to RAM or something that might be better for some occasions.

Ah. Well, that question of mine about in-game saves wasn't ever answered in the Vita thread, so you can see where I was lost and confused.

Thank you, SLAB! Unfortunately that still won't seem to make the "pick up an play" so good for me when I'm going back and forth between something, but sometimes there just isn't anything you can do about that.

Yeah that is definitely a inherent disadvantage of in-game saves. Hopefully this can get fixed in the future.

To you guys other point, the Vita does hibernate after a certain amount of inactivity. How long the battery lasts on standby, I don't know, but if you go to the Vita XMB/dash it will just pause your game.

Are you sure your not a Giants fan .....I can't say I was happy seeing Huff get a triple and Sanchez launch a HR off Rubby. De La Rosa who shouldn't even be on the active roster because he's recovering from TJ

I enjoyed seeing some of my fav dodgers in action. The result I didn't care so much for.
