January Transfer Season Preview

Who Wants Out?

ST Ireneuz Jelen. Jelen has struggled to find first team opportunities with the Toon, appearing in only 5 games. He has struggled even more to find the net, with 0 goals in his time in England. This has been an unmitigated disaster for all parties involved, and it is time to get rid of him.

Who Could Be Coming In?

ST Edin Dzeko. Yes, I know Dzeko has been rumored before, and his price is extremely high, but I believe he would fit in perfectly with Schurrle and Ba up front.

Any GK. Steve Harper is looking to retire, so a replacement lined up would be a good thing. I know we have Fabianski, but does anyone really trust him?

Any Surprises?

Miralem Pjanic. Pjanic wanted out one year ago, but he has not reiterated that desire. He has not spoken to the media in several months, so we do not really know his intentions. He has been playing wonderful football recently, so I hope we are able to hold on to him.
