      1. A. Alburquerque
      2. C. Balester
      3. D. Below
      4. J. Benoit
      5. P. Coke
      6. O. Dotel
      7. D. Fister
      8. C. Furbush
      9. L. Marte
      10. A. Oliver
      11. D. Pauley
      12. R. Porcello
      13. C. Ruffin
      14. M. Scherzer
      15. D. Schlereth
      16. J. Turner (started 3 games in 2011)
      17. J. Valverde
      18. J. Verlander
      19. B. Villarreal
      20. R. Weinhardt
      21. A. Wilk
      22. A. Avila
      23. G. Laird
      24. V. Martinez
      25. O. Santos
      26. M. Cabrera
      27. B. Inge
      28. P. Fielder
      29. J. Peralta
      30. R. Santiago
      31. D. Worth
      32. B. Boesch
      33. A. Dirks
      34. A. Jackson
      35. D. Kelly
      36. R. Raburn
      37. D. Young
      38. J. Head
      39. E. Patterson
      40. M. Young

Hopefully SCEA will give Jacob Turner an “A” potential.
As for the other 50 minor league players which need to be created I would propose the following as broken down by potentials:

      A – 1

      Nick Castellanos (3B)

      B – 10

      Drew Smyly (P)
      Casey Crosby (P)
      Brenny Paulino (P)
      Bruce Rondon (P)
      Daniel Fields (OF)
      Tyler Collins (OF)
      James McCann (Catcher)
      Rob Brantly (Catcher)
      Eugenio Suarez (SS)
      Aaron Westlake (1B)

      C – 19

      D. Vasquez (OF)
      B. Loy (SS)
      K. Ryan (P)
      Brian Flynn (LHP)
      D. Green (1B)
      Jason King (3B)
      A. Garcia (OF)
      H. Perez (OF)
      K. Eichhorn (P)
      M. Hoffman (P)
      T. Gibson (OF)
      J. Voss (P)
      A. Burgos (P)
      T. Stohr (P)
      D. Machado (SS)
      R. Strieby (1B)
      A. Wood (P)
      J. Johnson (OF)
      K. Faulk (P)

      D – 19

      J. Ortega (P)
      C. Thomas (OF)
      R. Waite (P)
      C. Bootcheck (P)
      Darin Downs (P)
      A. Ciriaco (SS)
      Argenis Diaz (IF)
      Quintin Berry
      Justin Henry (2B)
      Ramon Garcia (P)
      Fu-Te Ni (P)
      Thad Weber (P)
      Cale Iorg (SS/3B)
      Brandon Douglas (2B)
      B. Holaday (C)
      R. Robowski (P)
      Zach Samuels (P)
      Ron Lebron (P)

      F – 1

      Jeff Kunkel (C)

The additional 50 are composed of 22 pitchers and 28 position players. This works out to a total of 43 pitchers and 47 position players. It might not include enough pitchers.

The difficult part at this time is that we do not know which minor league players will be cut just before minor league seasons open.
      I would welcome any feedback.

Cool, sounds good PB! Were you planning on putting together the PA sounds + walkups again this year? I figure we can do that research while we are gathering player info.

          Re: 2012 OSFM: Detroit Tigers

This thread is off to a great start.

Just an update. Timo Perez and Jeff Salazar became free agents after the 2011 season. Timo Perez has also been suspended for 50 games for failing drug testing. Gustavo Nunez was lost in the Rule V draft. Cody Satterwhite was just released. I am sure more minor league players will be released before the season begins.

Thanks Karle, I'll make sure to capture those moves in my OP.

Also, and I will have to check, but I believe Fu-Te Ni may already be in the game as an SCEA roster player.

Fu-Te was in MLB11 as he played in the majors in 2010. However, he did not play in the Majors in 2011 so he will likely not be included. However if it is like 2011 then his real face may be obtainable through "create a player" like we did with Clete Thomas in MLB11.

Can I suggest we don't use that method if it works? Last year it gave people A potentials and kind of lead to weird results in franchise mode.

That is why I have previously asked that when using "create a player" we also have the capability of selecting the potential for the new player instead of it only being an "A".

Now the charts from Knight are out, how do we want to go about splitting up this workload?

Is it just us 3 or was there one more guy helping too?

I still have my chart for 2011. I was planning to adjust the players who are still in and then we can divide 4 ways those that need to be created from scratch. The fourth person uses the screen name Ivanhoe. If you can send me a PM with your e-mail I can send you the chart or instead I can publish it as a Google Doc (if I remember how to do it). The problem is predicting who will be in and thus if it is like last year we will end up creating CAPS and players only to replace them with others just before opening day.

Getting the roster right at the start of Spring Training is not as important as having it right for opening day.
