It's more 4 and 5* than that in real life.

This is a link to the top 100 recruits for the class of 2013...there are 11 5*'s and 89 4*'s...and that's just in the top 100, idk how many more 4* guys there are total

      http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/footbal...ings/rank-3053

EDIT: I just looked at the top 250, from 12-250...those guys are all 4* recruits

I thought it was 250 but I didn't want to jump the gun and say something wrong.

They have both, I just looked at the top 100 to prove the point, and once I saw what the distribution was there...I was curious about what it would be in the top 250

Either way...5* recruits could be toned down in NCAA a little, but tone up the 4* guys a lot because as it would seem there is a lot more of those guys than even I thought there would be.

i think the problem is without full 85 man rosters the # of each should be lowered. following whats on rivals would create to many

As far as the room for 85 man rosters. I used to be just a sports gamer until the PS1. Heck now playing other genres of games just lets me know how much the NCAA series has fallen. I don't want to hear about disk space when games like Mass Effect and Skyrim are made. I used to play NCAA more than all my other games combined.

Now I play Gears of War, Call of Duty, Uncharted tons more than I play NCAA. It's quite sad actually. NCAA has potential and using that word alone let's you know how much the series has fallen when the word "potential" wasn't used in the past generations

Re: Five Things to Improve NCAA Football 13

if i did my list it of 5 things that need to be fixed it would look like this

                1. gameplay. (see all posts by gotmadskillz) this guy has it all down, EA should hire him. if they fixed 1/10 of what he has researched and found out the game would be a huge upgrade

                2. dynamic commentary (see 2k games) it makes the games feel different. especially if they would talk about previous game and season stats. etc. would make your year 2018 game against a rivalry different from the 2012 game.

                3. dynamic recruiting. could be # 2 on my list. I would love to see a 2 or 3 star develop into a high rated player and team captain. especially on some of the mid major schools. great players develop out of those schools all the time. also it would be nice to have a few 5 and 4 stars come in rated high and never really improve. ( hopefully they wouldn't over kill each feature to where recruiting wouldn't matter.)

4.coaching carousal if they gave the coaches a few ratings that could change based on their performance it would be nice. would love to have recruiting, training (for progression) playcalling (ask coach feature would call plays based on the coaches ability and the tendency of the other team)

                5. presentation, bring back the old features from last gen. (not sure where the thread was but someone listed all the old stuff that used to be in the game. (in game ticker, Heisman ceremony, weekly SI cover. no need for alot of new stuff just bring back what we once had.

just my 2 cents not that it will happen but hopefully some ea guys will read these boards as it seems everyone has great ideas on what needs improved. I really hope EA focuses on fixing whats in place for 13 vs trying to sell something new that won't work properly anyway. as almost no new features do!

Re: Five Things to Improve NCAA Football 13

Plus fix WR interaction with the ball. DBs fight for the ball but WRs hardly ever do.

Penalties like pass interference need to occur more as well.

CPU clock management. Make them use more clock in regular game situations. Make it depend on what clock length we choose to play on.

Quick Question: can anybody ballpark when exactly we'll hear some official word about what will / won't be in next year's game? Thanks.

Those games have longer development cycles. Think they may need to take the CoD approach. If I'm not mistaking they have 2 development studios working on the game for 2 years or an alternating schedule as far as their releases go.

You're correct with the CoD development cycle...I just don't know how productive this would be because, in a sense, you would have a development studio starting from scratch while EA Tiburon has all this basis to create a working product.

Personally, I think EA might be smart to release 13 and then...when the next season comes out (14) and we want new updated ratings for rosters, they could offer DLC at $5 a pop with rosters. Then release 15 and repeat. Still running on the 2 year cycle but not handicapping another studio's game (which would be much much worse than the game we're currently getting), plus we get roster and rating updates which is something we all want

Maybe EA Vancouver could be the other studio. I would think they would have little problem working with the system.

That's true, I didn't think of them honestly...either way, a 2 year cycle may be the future of this game. It makes sense for them to do it that way until they can build a good enough product to release yearly with some slight tweaks

I was mainly talking in regards to the excuse for us not getting 85 man rosters. If Mass Effect and Skyrim can fit on one disk then there has to be a way to get 85 man rosters on a disk... plus FCS teams. I wouldn't care if I had to download something to keep on my HD. JUST COME OUT WITH A GREAT NCAA GAME EA SPORTS!

In my opinion, I dont understand why the game comes out every single year when there aren't drastic changes made each year. They really only have what, 7 months to really work on the game? Asinine.
100% agree with you...there aren't enough changes to warrant a release every single year (or 7 months, as you said above) and I think that while my suggestion is logical, it will never happen because of your point about shareholders and the profit EA is making by selling a flawed product. Hell, if I could sell someone a turd in a fancy box (granted this is a little extreme) for $60...I wouldn't change much either lol
