    Medical Hardship

I have a TE that was injured in week 1 or week 2 for the entire season.

In real life you can file for a medical hardship and get a full year of eligibility left. Is there anything I can do? Can I somehow redshirt him?

Is he going to improve at all after the season is over?

I've made a point not to go back to a saved game, but things like this really tick me off. I feel like when my players get hurt, it's always for a really long time. I don't get it.

just edit him after the season. you might want to write down his stats so he doesn't progress to much.

i'm in an online dynasty and i recruited a HB who came in 84 overall with 97 speed. He was injured in the first game of his freshman year and missed the entire season. his sophomore year he played the entire year. This year, in his junior year he was hurt the first game and again missed the entire year. With EA it wouldnt surprise me if he goes pro

I understand the first issue...and half of yours but why is that a big issue that he is injured a second time. It happens. Sure you should be allowed medical redshirts etc. but to complain because you got unlucky isn't an issue that's EA's fault. Sure that's unfortunate and random...but if we knew when injuries were coming what would be the point of them? Same with turning Pro, it's random...everyone knows Darron Thomas should not have turned pro...but he did. Once again that can't be blamed on EA, at least not how you are arguing it.

the going pro part was me being sarcastic. But the point is with the OP. If there were med hardships he wouldnt have one wasted season

I really wish we had medical redshirts in this game...in my new OD with EMU, I just lost the top 2 RB's on my team for the season (with default rosters.) Well actually one of them is 8 weeks, but that's still 2/3 of the season. But anyone familiar with the team knows these players are both seniors and both by far and away the best backs on the team (one is 74 OVR and the other 72 OVR...and the backups are 65 and 55)

If injuries are going to continue to be inconsistent and skewed to offensive skill positions while almost entirely ignoring offensive line and defensive players (outside of a few freak occurrences), they need to put a medical hardship in the game. And with it, an injury slider that controls not only the frequency but the duration/severity of injuries. Preferably with corresponding animations, like guys getting rolled up on or a monster hit knocking a guy out of the game, but that isn't absolutely necessary.

I've had some pretty ridiculous injuries happen in this game, the most annoying of which aren't the 8-11 week ones but the "out for game" ones. It doesn't let you put them in the game but the injury really shouldn't keep them from playing their position.

The injury inconsistencies are ridiculous as well. I'll never forget my first season with Nebraska in one of my OD's. In one game, I lost Rex Burkhead to concussion on the first drive. Aaron Green to concussion in the second quarter. Ameer Abdullah to a knee injury on the first drive of the second half. All were out for the game. I ended up moving Taylor Martinez to running back and Brion Carnes to QB and amazingly it worked great. It then happened again the VERY NEXT GAME. All three tailbacks were injured, this time by the 2nd quarter and one for the year. I ended up finishing the game with Martinez at HB having run for 130 yards.

It just all seemed very suspicious for these guys to continue going down from minimal contact. I ran an option offense, but the backs rotated and fatigue was never an issue. Just down they went.
