Uniforms look MUCH better based on that first shot. Good to see.

Is this the PC or console version? If this is ps3/360, I may consider 2k this year.

New Hit Distribution System: More varied and realistic hits, from line drives in the gap to slow tappers down the line. Based on the physics of the game, including pitch location & speed and swing timing & accuracy.

Swing timing and accuracy? Does this mean some sort of zone hitting might be included this year?

I think it means same time based system but now the ball location along with swing (early, late) and player stats have a greater impact on hit distribution.

No game shows off Major League Baseball quite like this. MLB 2K12 includes new and updated logos and uniforms, as well as the Miami Marlins’ brand new stadium.

If the names of players are the red soxs uniform then that statement is just a lie

out this coming Monday. Also the demo the audio has been removed due to the file size. MLB TODAY audio is gigantic.
The audio has been removed because they didn't want to spend the time to do the demo right imo. 2K had audio in MLB 2K9's demo so they CAN do it (funny how file size wasn't an issue then) but they generally haven't released audio in their demo for basketball or baseball the last two years which is incredibly dumb imo. The commentary in MLB 2K is fantastic and is a big selling point. Even if you have to strip down some of it or compress the audio you still have to include it.

File size is not an issue - laziness and bad marketing are. Some demos have been released at 3 GB before. This demo will probably be around 1 GB or so. You mean to tell me they couldn't get the audio to be less than 1 GB? Not buying it. Virtually every other sports game includes commentary in their demos. No excuses.

If I wasn't burned before by how great a pic can look compared to how it looks when playing I might have falling out of my seat after looking at that first pic...It sure does look good that's what I call game eye candy but we will all have to wait and see when the demo comes out but as for right now I'm

"Unmatched Online Experience: Taking your game online? MLB 2K12’s online play is unmatched, and will mimic the offline experience. Swing input, pitcher meters and throw meters are in real-time and will not be affected by lag during online play."

For a PC user this makes me very nervous. NBA 2K is nothing short of a disaster online. Yet, if this is such a huge improvement and online play is flawless why isn't this touted or advertised exclusively? You would think this would THE top selling point.

The last 2 years I've preordered both MLb 2K & The Show but 2K just ended up gathering dust. This year I've only ordered The Show. Maybe if 2K's effort gets solid reviews I might pick it up later on.

MLB 2K11 online plays very smooth on PC (and 360 as well), and they didn't advertise that at all last year either, so it was a nice surprise.
