Yea i was surprised as well. I called the local Game Stop and they had said they were unaware of any PS3 bundle..... I would have loved to get 2k12 for a mere 10 bucks. Not saying the game isn't worth the cash but i suppose i could say im getting NBA for the same 10 bucks

I'll be renting it for the 360. I love the MLB TODAY feature and it sounds like they tightened the game up. It should be a decent year for baseball games.
      PS3, we had a good run! (7/18/09-10/5/14)

They just posted on their FB page and said the video would be released this afternoon..... Im in the eastern timezone so its well passed the afternoon.
Um, this afternoon is basically anytime from 12:01 PM to 4:59 PM to most of the world. People need to chill, it's a freaking 10 minute clip of a video game, what difference does it make if it comes out at 12:05 or 4:55?

With Blockbuster closing i have no way of renting the game now lol. I may have to prey to the heavens and purchase it with good intentions. It does look better than most years so hopefully i don't regret leaving that stale feeling Sony franchise.

The only media they include are those three pictures.. Pathetic. With the demo coming out tomorrow or not, the demos not the finished product, the pictures or videos they release most likely would be at this time. But, from those pictures the lighting and colors of the stadium looked great!

Unless a video comes out in the next 24 hours, this will be the first sports game demo I play without having seen a single minute of gameplay.

Since this diary was largely about making fielding more complicated, I'm not sold on that aspect. Fielding was one of the more frustrating things last year for me. So does this mean we no longer queue up our throws? I picture a lot of us tossing the ball into the stands while getting used to it. Also, I hope this extra time spent planting feet etc doesn't result in a ridiculous amount of infield singles.

                        Re: Dev Diary 2

My problem last year with the throwing meter was if you were in the green you NEVER made a throwing error. It was far too easy to always stay in the green so I just didn't make any errors. The errors were actually done better in 2K11's demo. When they said green again in the diary it said the throws are generally accurate. Does that mean 100% accurate like last year or is it going to be more realistic? I do like the idea of setting your feet vs. moving vs. putting some mustard on it but easy throws are not always perfect.

Quite frankly I think they have given up on being realistic sometimes. They tout the new pitching system and then release a video with all the ball trails on. Please turn that stuff off if you are trying to cater to the OS crowd.

They said they redid all the infield throws and base running animations and yet the final double play throw (in the video) shows a throw to 2B that looks a bit awkward (slow down?). And then Peralta just gives up on taking out the guy on the double play like before. At least Raburn actually finishes running through the bag but I don't see the big improvements.

They have Verlander on the cover and yet the Tigers blue is too light. The batting order isn't right either as Delmon Young will be hitting #5 and ahead of Peralta. I know that's small stuff but I just don't see the attention to detail in improvements from 2K11 to 2K12.

Sorry guys, I'm just frustrated after two years of 2K baseball where the game is a lot of fun but some obvious issues just annoy me. I'm not going to post much anymore and I'm passing on this game. I will definitely try the demo tomorrow but my expectations are very low. Either way I still won't be able to find out if they fixed any of the franchise problems they have avoided talking about.

Wow, no one was mentioned the ability to cancel a throw. This would have honestly been a dealbreaker for me if it wasn't in. It adds strategy online that you need to be able to cancel a throw so that people cannot exploit you.

Looks pretty good...specially the game play video where the outfielder dove for the ball (and made the catch)..that was nice. That's one thing "The Show" never really gets right is a sense of freedom and control of your fielders. Honestly, I've played 100's of The Show games and I can't recall ever diving with an outfielder and making a catch. It never really seems like you have the opportunity. I'm really interested in 2k this year. Will probably buy it instead of the show if for nothing else, something different. I love the Show but it's getting stale IMO.

I actually like what I am hearing the differing levels of difficulties when it comes to the throws is a good idea.

We now allow the fielder the option to either cancel a throw or simply choose to redirect the throw to a new base or target.

THANK GOD. I wasn't considering buying this after last year getting boring and repetitive, but I'm leaning toward giving it a shot after reading this.
