    D+ Draft Grades

Whenever I draft rookies, I always receive a D+ Draft grade. Am I really that bad at drafting bad players or is it a bug? My last Draft had 3 players 80+ A Pot and a couple of 70+ players and two players who were awful, drafted in round 6 & 7.

These are all madden generated classes by the way.

Does anybody have good tips for scouting and drafting (without cheating by sorting through potential), or is it just luck?

As far as I can tell, draft grades mean less than OVR . I've had several drafts where I only drafted As and Bs but still got less than a C+. I suspect, but haven't proven, the draft grades are based on need as opposed to value.

I always try and do a draft board from Week 1 of the season on what positions the team needs or what positions we may need come the end of the season.

I think it's just a minor thing that probably doesn't matter as long as I am happy with the players I have drafted. It just would be nice to be graded higher than a D+!

You dont just draft people that are A pot because you want them, you have to get players that you need.

Well, sure, but since the game mechanics don't penalize you much for say drafting the best OL (who possibly played guard or LT in college) to play RT I will pick value ahead of actual position all the time.

What I'm suggesting is if one drafts as I do one can expect a low draft grade. At least that's been my experience.

Just make it bulletin board material. Mel Kipper and ESPN think we had a pretty bad draft... let's go out there and prove them wrong!

Where do you see the draft grade? I only remember this on PS2.
              Go Broncos. Go Wizards.

ya i agree with raguel it has to do with needs because i needed a WR really bad no one was over 75 and i got a WR in the draft i been scouting scene week 1 and he was 86 ovr A pot and i got A+ for grade.
