This game is crazy fun. I rented it from Redbox but after playing for a couple hours I decided to go buy it. It's that fun!

Not really feeling this game so far, mainly because of the "deadly descents" aspect of it. In these portions of the game when you mess up it either forces you to use rewind, or start over at the very top. So basically you're stuck in 1980s videogame design where you have to try and try again until you pass the level. This is very much against the tone and feel of what made previous SSX games so good, as it leaves you feeling constrained rather than free.
      All ties severed...

That reminds me, it's redbox game week. You can get one day free rental (the catch, it has to be reserved online or through their app) so if anyone is on the fence still and thinks a day of the full game would help them decide then take advantage.

Damn, that will get annoying for you in the future for consoles. Seems like everything is moving to online gaming now.

I personally love it, so it makes me happy the way they set up SSX. We can still do private rooms with friends too and take runs..that is sick.

For maximum rentage, check your game out at 12:01 AM and you'll get a 45 hour "one day" rental.

Just went and bought it from Gamestop. I wish I would have known I was going to buy it so I could have got the pre-order bonus! Gamestop: exclusive Eddie Wachowski and his Elite snowboard with an attribute Perk.

Just watched the online feature of this game. Sounds really promising.

Go through Global Events and pick range and a mountain. Each mountain has a few different drop points. The ones designated by a "+" are customizable. One of the options is to set who can take part in the event. Change it to Connected Friends and let the fun begin.

                        Re: SSX Review (360/PS3)

Was able to install this game a couple of hours ago, and this game has way more ups than downs, but it has a few downs in terms of course design at times. Sometimes this game feels like it has so much "exploring" going for it, and other times you just feel so constricted to a couple of things to do. When that happens, the courses really start to lose their personality. At least with a game like SSX Tricky, you always knew where you were and identified with the course that you were on.

Anyway, I just love when I get Super Tricky or whatever it's called. The colors get so vibrant and the remixing is awesome. Gives me chills that SSX: On Tour couldn't ever give me with Monster Tricks.

I want to leave more impressions but so far I'm going away in love with this. I wonder how long/short it is in the end though, since I'm already in the third area after a couple of hours. I know there are like zillions of things to unlock, but in the other games you would do things by character, not just as a general global tour with all of them at the same time.

Anyway, the one thing I just wish this game had was some sort of massive mountain that would take 20 minutes to get down like On Tour had. That was always fun to ride down.

Wasn't going to get this, but my wife watched the xgames this past month and saw thr commercial. Came home and she was on the ******* game she bought when I was at work. Sonofabitch.

Anyway. The deadly descent idea is cool and all I like the tour mode and different feel of the drops the ridernet idea is sweet, just got a few diamond wins and my wife got some on some survival runs...now she wants me to make her a seperate profile on my ps3 because she's pissed she has to use and I quote "your ****** avatar and username when I win". Oh well. Still godsdamn pissed at no local mp so I can show her what 4 but whatever.
