Don't get me wrong I do beat them (once in a while) so it's not that they are this unstoppable rebel force that can't be conquered. It's just that so many freakin people play with them, it gets boring. I hate back out and quitting the session but I feel like I have to to keep the game fresh to me. Should I take on all comers, even if 70% or more are Heat d-riders? How ya'll feel? Much appreciated.

I don't play them, because it does get boring and I could easily pick the Thunder/Spurs/etc to matchup with them and beat them 90 pct of the time but I'd rather mix it up. IMO someone is bad if they rely on using the Heat every game. I've used almost every team online and won with them and done quite well. I see no fun in using the Heat every game and I know majority of randoms try to do this.
Is someone bad if they refuse to play Heat? No, I am 109-20 and use different teams all the time.Comment

well if you dont want to play them, then sure back out, i don't blame you at all. just pack out while your still in the lobby, dont wait til the game starts then decide to back out because its annoying when people do that.
i dont usually play sports games online because its always a cheese fest. but over the last couple days i played 6 online matches, i am 5-1. i played against the Knicks, Thunder twice, Heat twice, and the Bucks. the only team i lost to was the bucks lol. i killed the other teams and i was using the teams like the Cavs, Bobcats, Raptors, etc. the people that use the top end teams generally are horrible players and easy to beat, its the people that use bad/mediocre teams that are usually good at the gameComment

I either back out on the spot or I pick the Heat so they quit. I don't have patience to play the anti-cheeser game every time I put in 2K12 and play a ranked game.PSN : TALLERthanyou24Comment

control TEMPO, I never let them run. I KNOW they will attack the rim with LeBron every time down court (majority of the HEAT users do). So I stay in the paint and take a charge every chance I get. If you do it right, LeBron will get into foul trouble and that will make them shoot more outside jumpers.Comment

Spurs are one of my go to teams as well. I also like using the Twolves, Hawks, 76ers, Celtics, Mavericks, Rockets, Pacers, etc. I think I will try out the Kings pretty soon. I have used teams like the Suns and Cavs and just did not like them at all. I barely won with the Suns and lost a game with the Cavs where I played the Bulls. I missed so many open shots and could not find a flow with Irving.
Anyways I finally decided to play one heat user today since I wanted a challenge. I used the Twolves and he had the Heat @ home. I got the lead pretty early and was up by 10+ most of the game until the BS heat shots starting going in. This may contradict some of my previous statements, but this Heat team has something about them where they just make the most ridiculous shots I have seen. This guy had no offense besides holding turbo with Lebron and trying to get in the lane. Most of the time he'd accidentally pull up with 2 guys in his face and still make the mid range shot. Then every time I'd bump them in the paint it would be a foul and 1, a foul, or the ball would rattle around the rim until it went in. He also got bailed out a lot on offense by Wade and Lebron jumping over my whole team for putback dunks. I eventually found myself down 7 with about 1 minute to go. I kept taking my open 3's, but they weren't going in and this cost me. Anyways I came back by hitting a clutch 3 with Love and even got the late lead. Then again he came down dribbled around the perimeter with Lebron and I know he was going to shoot a 3 so I was waiting for it. He pulled up in my face and swished it to force OT. OT it was no challenge, because his BS shots eventually started to miss and the guy quit when I got an 11 point lead after I hit a 3 with Beasley.
Typical random online heat user. Abuse the steal button, try to steal my in bounds pass, hold turbo on offense and try to drive every time with no screens or ball movement, and then once you got them beat they quit on you. This further proves my point on why I do not play the Heat. I should have beaten this guy by 30-40, but because he had the Heat he was able to hang in the game. If a good player gets his hands on the Heat then it isn't even fair. Fortunately though most of the good players use other teams.Comment

I wish 2k could somehow change this mechanic. I have this happen to me alot where Heat users will rush the paint, mario run into the defender, and then pull-up. I could see if they pulled up before they got to the defender, but I it should be considered a rushed shot and miss most of the time. Like you said, sometimes they'll make just enough and get phantom fouls to keep them in the game.

I seriously doubt that 90 percent of the people that play this game have the Heat as their favorite real life team...Where were these guys in NBA 2k8 or 2k7?
And Yes Kasmer that was the BS I was experiencing. It really takes no skill, talent, basketball knowledge, etc. to use the Heat and actually win a few games. I used them like twice and won each game easily. I beat one guy like 85-30 and I felt bad for it. I'd rather beat someone with Utah or Houston 50-42.Comment
