Building a staff nfl Head Coach 06

Hey folks, I would appreciate your help! When hiring your staff in NFL Head Coach '06, should you hire the best coach available, or the best coach within your offensive and defensive philosophy?

    Thanks!

depends. usually in 06 i try and get the best position coaches i can ie high first 4 stats 65+ and high in their position 75 +. for coordinators i can never figure out whats what except for high first 4 and their side of the ball position

never found a decent scout (borked the way you get them) and st is a nightmare.

as for philosophy, if they match for me its a bonus

Thanks for the reply....that's the way I've been doing it , also, but I had read that your players progressed faster if you hired only coaches within your offensive and defensive philosophy. I guess I might have to try it sometime.

Ive written down coaches and their philosophies over time so i know who is into what.

I noticed if i have all position coaches w the same philosophy, the playbook can get better w more unique plays in them.
(I prefer to keep 1 offensive philosophy and i change my defensive philosophy each year to get another playbook for offense and when i get one i like alot then i save and move forward)
