This is just sad, but expected though.

I guess it's safe to say they didn't update any player models right?
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

It took me longer to read this thread than it would take me to manually do the changes that this roster update did.

Updates i noticed: Tyreke Evans and Demarcus Cousins got upgrades. Cousins went from a 71 to a 78, very nice. Also Ibaka got a huge upgrage, and Pekovic jumped almost 20 overall points. Overall a nice update. Anyone complaining about Novak needs to realize that all he does is shoot 3's. his 3pt rating is high, other than that what does he does to deserve a higher rating?

Linas was ignored again... hes prob the best scorer besides Andrea yet hes the most useless SF on the roster.

                  -smh-

These little updates where they pick a few "players of the week" need to stop. JR Smith? Really? He's played FOUR GAMES and you already change his rating. Of all the players that have proven they are under/overrated for weeks, that's the one who deserves attention.

There is a lot of ratings that need to be changed. Let's address this in a different way .... here are the the ingame rankings according to their rating system

Hear is what is happening in real life based on season stats

and here is the difference with the biggest offenders marked in bold

Obviously factors this doesn't factor in Injuries (Spurs, Hawks, Grizz, Nets) and recent acquisitions (Knicks), but here are the mass rating changes that might want to take a closer look at
                  • Hawks Defense (too low)
                  • Bulls Offense (too low)
                  • Mavericks Offense (too high)
                  • Pistons Offense (way too high)
                  • Rockets Offense (too low)
                  • Clippers Defense (too high)
                  • Timberwolves Defense (too low)
                  • Nets Offense - (too low)
                  • Magic Offense - (too high)
                  • 76ers Offense - (too high) - although Hawes injury might have an impact
                  • Trailblazers Offense (too low) (and take oden off the roster for the love of god)
                  • Kings Offense (too high)
                  • Spurs Offense (too low)
                  • Raptors Defense (too low)
                  • Jazz Offense (too low)

I would also say the Nuggets need to be looked at since they've been plagued with injures, and are still rated in the same ball park with slightly better D.

I know I am just looking at the surface and there are some things I overlooked, but this updating the "players of the month" approach isn't working when at least a good 20% of the roster needs to be updated.

Novak's defense has been surprisingly decent... he shows good positioning...

he has also shown an ability to throw a pump fake, get the defender in the air and go up... or take a dribble and shoot off that...

he's shown some other things... i think bringing his defensive and offensive awareness up a little bit would help...

43 is just way too low for anybody putting up numbers like he has been lately...

he's definitely a specialist, but no specialist in nba2k has ever been rated this low... gimme a break.

                          JJ Redick went from a 64 to a 68.
                          Isaiah Thomas went from a 63 to a 70.
                          Nikola Pekovic went from a 57 to a 72.

That's all that stood out to me.

I noticed the timberwolves finally have their black jerseys. Does anyone know if they will be released as codes soon like the miami back in black ones were for people without online?

you guys must want him to have high rebounding and blocking just to get his overall up. he is nothing more than a spot up shooter and has been since his days with houston and spurs
