Houston we have a problem

So I sim a season to get to 2013 and the season starts and Houston is still in the National league. I can understand the adding the new playoff teams that just happened last week but Houston going to the American league we have known that for months. Hopefully this can be patched

Maybe they weren't allowed - by the MLB - to do it in this year's game

Maybe they can patch it in

Maybe they wanted to do it but couldn't because it would screw something else up

Aren't all sports games supposed to be a one year only type game?

Which is why they have stats from the previous season,and commentary talks about that previous season.

If you were to play mlb12 in 2013, hearing something like "the marlins moved to miami before the start of this season" would sound outdated cause it happened before last season(by time it's 2013,it'll be last season,not this season)

From an immersion stand point I guess this is a bad thing especially since the commentary even mentions the move to the AL, but hey Houston's been in the NL for 50 some years whats a few more?

Not all games NBA2K12-- when you move into the next year in franchise, they stop saying the stuff that's outdated from the year before

Exactly, it's not a huge deal but I don't consider this sort of thing nitpicking. Putting it in the commentary is really only taunting the end user. When you claim to be the "authentic MLB experience," I don't think it's too much to expect known, major changes to be coded in or patched in very soon.

As much as I am against the new postseason format, I want to play in-line with the appropriate MLB setup. It is more than a little disappointing that it currently is not possible.

I think it was known well before release that the move wasn't going to happen in franchise. I'm sure it would mess up the whole schedule due to there being an odd amount of teams in both leagues.

Something I'd like to see is allow users to customize leagues like they do in NBA 2k. Not sure if it's possible because I don't have any idea as to all that goes into making this game but it's an idea.
