RTTS Trade - Fate or Fix?

I haven't really invested much time in RTTS until this year. Having said that I have been putting all of my time into it while I wait for the epic OS roster for my franchise mode.

So, I just put in many man hours improving my player and I finally started to take off in RTTS (14 homers, 29 steals in first half season of Double A) when INEXPLICABLY I get traded to the Cardinals (w/ David Wright for Adam Wainwright). Now, I'm a Mets fan, and even I will say that this is an improvement to my players fate going to the defending champions. However, I don't want to play on another team. I kept trying to reload my last save, but I keep getting the same results.

Is there any way to turn off trades in RTTS or avoid this situation? My only other option is start way back at a much earlier save, which is pretty annoying. Anyone have any suggestions?

No, you can't turn off trades in RTTS.

I've been waiting to start my RTTS for the OSFM roster as well, but I almost wonder if its even worth waiting if in the first couple years teams will be completely disbanded by CPU trades. In the feedback forums I've asked for the option to veto trades or the option to control your teams roster for 2 straight years now, but alas, nothing.

When signing contracts, we should be able to get no trade clauses or something lol.

Look at it from a positive point of view....maybe u might get to the majors with the Cards quicker...obviously they saw something in u worth trading for so it's not all bad..obviously there's nothing u can do so just suck it up and keep tearing it up with the Cards and maybe later in your career the Mets will wanna acquire u..who knows

I always get traded in RTTS, it seems inevitable.

If the save you have is the right before the trade happens (ie, sim to next appearance and you get traded right away) I don't think you can do anything. The trade has really already happened and been saved and it just needs to go to the next day to tell you. If you have a save that is a few days before the trade happens, it won't (at least in my experience) always happen.

That'll be a problem with signing long term contracts though.

You'd want to sign a long term deal with your team, but then if you get traded, you know you're not gonna be able to go back to the team you wanted until at least the time your contract expires.

I signed a 7 year deal with the Jays, and that same offseason they traded me afterwards(this was mlb11 though).

So next time I play RTTS, I'm gonna sign like 2 year deals or something

This was supposed to be fixed this year by making you the top prospect of the organization.

That is pretty annoying. I got traded three months into my first season. At least let me get a season in. Starting over now. Since I only signed a one year contract can I just sign with the Mets the next season?

This was supposed to be fixed this year by making you the top prospect of the organization.

Making you the top prospect doesn't do anything about your trade fate. It makes it so you're not a back up bench player your first year or two. Top prospects still get traded.

Maybe there should be an option to not get traded, just for enjoyment's sake. But the only players who get no-trade clauses are the best of the best in the majors. Minor league players, even highly rated ones, get traded all the time. They don't get "no-trade" clauses, they don't really have much of a voice in the organization. So it is pretty realistic to be traded.

But maybe there should be the option to turn it off if you want to stay with one team.

Top prospects, especially #1 prospect in the entire organization are not traded very often. It happens far too much in the show.
