Whats good comrades?

So as of now I haven't heard anything about EA (or anyone else) doing a Euro 2012 game? I thought it was tradition for them to always capture any FIFA event into some sort of videogame?

We got a fantastic world cup game (mind you the world cup is a lot "bigger" than regional tournaments) and I remember releases to the Euros as well in the previous years?

Whats happening this time? Not that I'm complaining (FIFA 12 and Street are getting much of my attention) but what happened this time?

According to Wikipedia, EA Sports isn't the ones producing the game this time.

Woh I haven't heard anything about this. A sports game running on the Cry engine?! This looks interesting but given that the release date is less than 2 months away and this is the first time I am hearing this, I am getting skeptical.

Anyone heard anything else about this? Strange that EA are not doing this and there has been practically zero marketing.

Might have something to do with Konami now having the UEFA Champions League license for the past few years. EA used to release a dedicated UEFA CL game in year with no Euro or World Cup. My guess is EA dropped UEFA entirely, or vice-versa.

Wow good information. So not only is this the first ever UEFA game not released by EA, but also apparently from that wikipedia page, the first UEFA game not on PC. Has anyone found any videos of this new engine? I seen some videos entitled "UEFA Euro 2012 PS3/360" but they seem to only be mods of PES2012 or FIFA 12.

2 months from launch and Double Helix Games is apparently releasing this game. No idea what this will be like, an alternative to FIFA 12 or PES2012? Sim or arcade? Football with the CryEngine 3? Intriguing. Wonder how the Wii version will be...

It is hard to expect anything great from this game, considering it is only 2 months away and neither the developers or publishers even have anything about the game on their website.

Warner Bros. is not publishing the game. Warner Bros. is just in charge of giving out the license (which will most likely be given to EA again).

I think the reason it hasn't been announced yet is that EA want FIFA Street to get full exposure. I would expect an announcement in the next couple of weeks.

It also wouldn't surprise me if the game were just DLC added on to FIFA 12.

That would surprise the heck out of me. They've never done that before with a UEFA/Euro title; rather, they've made a scrapped version of FIFA with a higher emphasis on presentation and charge full price.

I highly doubt that EA releases a Euro game. It's not their style to wait until the last minute to even announce a game. IMO if they were to release a Euro game, they simply would not have released FIFA Street at this time. They used to release a dedicated Champions League game in years when there was no Euro or World Cup. If anything, they would have released FIFA Street last year or next year if they were doing Euro this year.

Yeah I thought there wasn't going to be Euro game. Glad there is going to be one.
