Framerate issue 2k12 association mode

Hi guys! I want to know why in the association mode during every first quarter the game has framerate/lag problem??! I downloaded all the patches that they had released! thanks for the answers!

I had the EXACT same issue!!! Framerate problems in the 1st quarter only!

Here is how i solved it in two steps:

- before you load your season or association, load the roster you are using in that same season/association. Only THEN, load your season/association!

- Have as few roster files as possible! I had multiple roster files, now i only have two!

These two things eliminated that annoying problem!

I have lag all through the game on 360. It's not every game, and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. Xbox Live connected, Xbox Live disconnected, etc. It only seems to happen when in one end of the court and NEVER and midcourt.

I read to remove all updates and re-download which worked for about 10 games. Now I'm back to lagging every couple of games.

I have the same issue and its ruining the game for me. I've lost interest and patience at this point. Don't play the game much anymore.

same issue in my player, framerate issues in the 1st quarter, funny thing is it was a patch that caused it. It was the patch before the main gameplay patch. Ever since then ive had the framerate problems.

Yes I have this problem also. I noticed some dude with a Pittsburgh Penguins avatar here posted in a thread about this somewhere on these forums. He made the point of "shared roster files" causing some issues in the last few years. I didn't completely understand his point, however.

I will be sure to try this. It is very nice that the problem is limited to the 1st quarter (ALWAYS goes away after 1st quarter) but I was really hoping this was serious enough to be addressed in a patch. Sadly, the last PS3 patch only addressed the bootup issues (which were solved VERY easily manually, so I must fail you on that exam 2k).

I will report back here if this solution works for me also. Offline Association is my main mode in all sports games and always has been, I'd really like to eliminate this issue.

i play my player and i deleted the roster i used for this, and i have no rosters on my files except the default one thats automatically generated and my player keeps on lagging still

anyways i have moved too 2k11, causes less stress and less problems unlike this broken game

Unfortunately I have also found that this "solution" is completely bogus. It did not have one bit of an effect on offline association either.

It´s NOT bogus!

Just loaded my season WITHOUT loading the roster that i used to start my season and sure enough there was the 1st quarter lag!

Got out, loaded the roster, loaded the season and the 1st quarter lag was GONE!

It´s not bogus, it´s not coincidence, it works! (for me).

EDIT:

- Just to try it, i loaded ANOTHER roster before i loaded my season and the lag was there.
- Made some modifications to the roster that i used to start the season, saved it, and then, i had lag!

So, in conclusion, it has to be the EXACT same roster file you need to load before loading the season. If you alter and save the original roster, it will not work from then on!

And now, just to prove my point in this thread i ruined my season since i altered the original roster file that i loaded before loading the season...

If you pause and un-pause the game it also fixes it sometimes for the whole qtr sometimes it takes a few times.

Didn't work for me. Perhaps several different "problems" are causing the same "symptom"?

The roster I used to start the association is literally named "Association Roster". Your "solution" has absolutely no effect on my offline association on PS3. I have also tried other things such as deleting game data and re-installing (worked great for bootup issues), deleting NBA today data, removing profile data, etc. I haven't noticed the "pause/un-pause" technique to work for me and, instead, usually resort to simply waiting it out until the quarter ends. The only "common solution" (as in techniques that fix unwanted happenings/effects in other games) I haven't tried at this point is declining the update and attempting to play without the patch. I don't even know if that's possible for this title as it is in others, but I've not seen anybody suggest that as a solution, anyways.

Try changing the camera that you are using.Sometimes different camera angles can cause lag.See if that helps.

Yep...usually in the first qtr tho and then it clears up

it just started a few days ago too. im really getting upset at all the slight thing 2k seems to be doing that is causing issues with the game...
