    Surprising Great Players

Does anyone have any players that you didn't think were going to be that good that dominate games?

Mine is Evan Turner. He gets to the rim so easily and finishes strong. He always seems to get open too, which helps cause he can hit an open three.

What are some other surprisingly good players that you play with?

Mine would have to be John Salmons. He's getting up there in years, so I'm not quite sure when he retires in 2k, but he does a phenomenal job of backdoor cuts, and getting open at the arch, almost always hitting the three. He also does great at driving towards the center of the lane and putting up an easy layup through any defense.

Both Isaiah Thomas and him lead my Kings association in PPG.

Travis Outlaw and Avery Bradley both have nice medium shooting, and both also have decent 3pt shooting

I can just destroy teams with Brandon Rush's 3 point shooting

Kenyon Dooling. I know the whole hit turbo and charge the lane thing is pretty unsophisticated, but Dooling can get to the rack in this game, like rise up and dunk over bigs. Online ppl never expect to get housed by Rondo's backup, but I've had a few games where he got on fire in minutes, from people not respecting his drive, maybe because they know what he plays like in real life!

A little less obscure is Paul George. Big ups, good range, and great D.

Not to completely change the conversation, but I suck with Blake Griffan. He always just chills around the three point line.

I think Mario Chalmers is surprisingly good too. Can hit 3s and places great defense?

Birdman. People tend to underestimate him, but he is menace defending the post and has a great Close Range scoring game as well. I can pull off some pretty unlikely moves on the block with him against a good many average/below average defenders as well. Anytime somebody picks Miami online I pick Denver and light them up with the Bird.

Avery Bradley? He is like a 65 in mid range, pretty underrated, I can't even hit a mid range shot in practice with him with that rating...

Marco Belinelli for me. When I need play as the Hornets and I need a 3 at that moment, Marco is money from deep.

I traded for Terrence Williams in my Blazers franchise, and he's my leading scorer. I start him at Shooting Guard...rather than his listed position of Small Forward.

He averages 29ppg, 7.8 assists, and 4.9 rebounds. It feels like I can do anything with him. He has a decent three point rating, he can drive to the bucket, he can dunk with the best of em, and has made some crazy contact layups for me. He has a sick vertical, and he's fast with really good quickness. He has some pretty good on-ball defense (though, it was better last year). And his handles aren't too shabby. His ability to get to the basket it what opens up my ability to pass with him, because I can easily drive and kick out with him. I've been trading for him ever since he entered the league a few years ago, and he's been just as great in NBA 2K year after year.

J.R. Smith is freakishly good at 3s even if hiss ratings have been dropped a bit. Also has a great shooting motion which makes it easier to make 3's.

Luke Ridnour is a beast in my hands, Turner is a good call, I also like Reddick, Paul George...Beast, and I'm nearly unstoppable with Beasley, Monte, Jennings, DeRozan and a few others....

Rodney Stuckey for me, penetrates the paint with dunk/layup easily. Decent mid range game too.
