man, i havent even messed around with the cameras this much to realize one can get this view.

but i wanted this kind of camera view when scea announced the homerun derby with move support back in 2011. (what actually was implemented was crap and i never even tried it out ever in 2011)....

this is like Doom's 1st person perspective comes to MLB the show!

I wish I could try this. The zoom buttons don't work for me even though they work for guess pitch and diving during normal gameplay.

The zoom buttons? You have to make the custom camera with the instructions I posted above. That's when you zoom in and such...

Awesome camera man

I am now able to lay off balls so much easier, whether they be high, low, inside or outside and pick those straight down the middle and now I have cut my K's in half thanks to this camera.

Had the most amazing AB with Jose Reyes just now...went down 0-2 and last man in with balls just catching the corners and laid off the next 3 pitches taking it to a full count. Francisco hung a splitter over the middle of the plate and Reyes bombed it over the RF fence for the winning run in the bottom of the 9th

Once again dude....great camera!!

The zoom buttons? You have to make the custom camera with the instructions I posted above. That's when you zoom in and such...

The left and right triggers. They don't work while setting a camera (and up/down d-pad buttons don't work during replays). I think it's due to my using a PS2 controller with a USB adapter, although the buttons work fine while playing games. Very odd.

Anyway, your screenshots look awesome. Great work on the camera.

Nice. This looks like the custom camera I use when playing in 3D. Good to see someone else appreciates this take!

So for those who can't/don't like this as a regular view, at least try it out in 3D if you have the capability to.

EDIT: Here's the 3D camera I've been using since last year. The one thing I like is that you get a slight shot of the plate (if you don't use the strike zone box when playing).



Not exactly the same thing (again, more zoomed out simply so you can see the plate), but there's a similar gist. The important thing, again, is that in 3D this baby really excels.

I haven't been posting much lately; kind of just side-saddling.

I have a lot of bugs, pictures, videos, franchise stories, sliders, tidbits, etc. to post, but every time I'm about to, I have some sort of hiccup that I have to take care of in some way.

3D feels the same this year. I can play it, but prefer not to. However, if I do, it's with the camera angle that I posted above (or a similar version of it, since that shot is from MLB 11).

No it switches automatically. Its always offset from the inside.
