I hope everyone finds them useful. Once the season starts, I will be able to add players called up from the minors or the foreign players new this year. Maybe look to update in May so I can have a month of pitches to draw from.

These look good. How do you go about deciphering whether a FB is a 4-seam, 2-seam or Running?

i just looked through a few and from what i've seen they look spot on...I'm wondering the same thing, and also what did you use to come up with these ratings?

Very nice bro!! What website did you use to gather the pitch types?

One other thing... Is the number in the middle the pitchers control rating? For example... Greinke's curveball is 49/70/90... If that's the case then every pitcher has a REALLY good control rating for their pitches then.

I looked at Roy Halladay and see you gave him a splitter. I read elsewhere you used texasleaguers for the pitch edits, but that site doesn't have a splitter for Halladay, just fastball, 2-seam fastball along with cutter, curve and change-up. Why did you give him a splitter?

Clayton Kershaw has a circle change, not change-up. If you need proof I can give it to you straight from Kershaw's mouth via a video interview, or you can just look at the horizontal movement--it's over a plus 6.

Just download it/save it to WinRAR or other such utility and open it from there.

For control, I looked at their percentage of strikes and foul balls. My control ratings might seem a bit high so I figured people could just adjust the BB/9 rating. I think that would effect the control more so of a pitcher. I know ehen I am playing and have a pitcher with a bad control rating I can never throw a strike. Besides, I feel the BB/9 rating is more important when you sim.

I mostly used texasleaguer.com pitch F/X. If I wasn't sure about a certain pitch, I checked Fangraphs and Brooksbaseball.net.

Yes, the number in the middle is control. They might seem a bit high but everyone can lower them if they like. I don't mean for my edits to be the bible. Everyone has their own preference.

I read in a few places, one of them was 60ft6in that Halladay switched from a change up to a splitter in 2010. He uses the Splitter as a change up according to the scouting report.

The site I used labels whether a pitch is a 4 seamer or a 2 seamer. I gave a pitcher a running fastball if his 4 seamer had a lot over horizontal movement. Anything over 6 I gave a running fastball.

But if your going to implement all these pitch edits into the OSFM roster when its released, I would recommend not to include the adding of foul ball % into the control rating #'s... Because I don't think everyone will want pitchers who can throw any pitch to any spot they want because the pitchers have such high control ratings... Just IMO

If someone can suggest or come up with a better way to figure out the control rating I am all ears. Last year, I used just the strike percentage of the pitch but they were usually in the 50's-60's, even for the good pitchers.

Maybe some of the developers from the game can give us an idea how they figure out the control rating.

great edits, i noticed the control thing too, i'm just going to lower every control rating by like 10 then if its a 4th or 5th pitch i'll lower it by 15....anyway my question is Joel Hanrahan has a movement of
"1940" on the spreadsheet. obviously this is a typo, what is it supposed to be?

but overall man, really good job i have trouble arguing with any of these ratings

ALSO - it says Jeff Locke's 2sfb speed is 83 mph(number on left is speed right?) and his running fastball is like 90. i'm pretty sure he only pitched a few games last year, and thats probably why, but that still doesn't make sense. is this an error or did he really throw his 2 seamer 83 in the couple games he played? or is this some type of breaking pitch that is being represented with a 2sfb?

EDIT - I'm seeing the same pitch with Tony Watson too, what is this pitch?
