How do I keep my lineup and send down minor leaguers during spring training without using their option?

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, But any player on the 40 man roster will have an option used when they are sent down. Once a guy is on the 40 man roster they basically have 3 years to catch on with the club or they are going to be subject to waivers.
The option is just used once though (for the year) and you can bring them up and down as much as you'd like through the year.
That's the same as real life and why that's the case in the game.
I'm not sure if there is some sort of workaround without controlling all the teams......Hopefully if there is someone will let you know.Comment

After typing I realized one work around could be going in to the roster and removing anyone, who's option you don't want to use, from the 40 man roster.
I'd guess that should keep them from being up in ST and using an option.
It'd probably only be worth it for younger guys you know would not be moved up to the MLB level...because if it's someone you may have to call up, you'd just have to re-add them to the 40 man again later on.Comment
