MLB Today Season Already Broken

It's my second game of the season against the Reds and it has Josh Johnson starting again and you can't change it. This sucks.

It could be because you are in Perfect Game Challenge mode. See what mode you are in in MLB Today and switch it. Then you will be able to edit everything. Because in the Perfect Game Challenge mode, you are not aloud to edit your starting lineup or starting pitcher.

MLB Today Season only lets me edit lineups. MLB Today does let me edit pitcher but I need it in season mode.

It's because you are suppose to be playing with the pitcher pitching that day. You can't edit it. That's the point. Suppose to be playing as-if your team was playing today. But since your pitcher is starting twice. It might have something to do with Cincinnati Red's opening day was moved to today. And sine it is their opening day, 2k wanted both teams #1 pitcher starting(as if it were a two-team opening day.)
It should correct itself in the next game

I hope so. It should be Nolasco vs. the Reds for the next game, but I have a feeling it's gonna be Buerhle when it should have been Buerhle today.

It will probably be that way. But eventually it should even itself out.

I also wish you could choose uniforms in MLB Today.

I think it coincides with the real life teams(again, I think.) Like if your team uses throwback jerseys, then the game changes the unis to the throwback ones. Haven't had any games yet with different unis this season.

No you can't edit them in MLB Today. Nor in MLB Today Season. In MLB Today Season it uses player progression and Living Rosters. But I assume in MLB Today that you could edit the default roster and then go into MLB Today with the team you just edited and the rosters.(Correct me if I am wrong here anyone.). But if you are looking to do the Perfect Game Challenge, then I am pretty sure that the rosters will get set to default instead of "current" ones or Living Roster ones. So no cheating there!

2k screwed up some match ups. I am playing as the O's and they have Wei-Yin Chen (aka Willie Carter) starting today. Its supposed to be Jake Arrieta. Chen is the 5th starter. This info has been available since Tuesday

Lol 2K can't update info in a matter of days. They don't have nearly as many people working on the game as they did when they were developing it. It takes time. Don't expect changes that happened less than a week ago.
Again, this problem will correct itself, or 2K will fix it. They have more important things to fix than people "getting the wrong starter on a given day". I understand some people have the same starter starting at least twice. But that should fix itself once every team has played their opening day game. Seriously people. 2K staff aren't robots. They have work hours just like everyone with a job does. Things take time. If you don't like that, go make your own game and see how hard it is, or apply at 2K and again, see how hard it is. Making and fixing a video game isn't as simple has clicking a button. It takes TIME. Be patient.

Well, I assume the lineups and pitchers, etc, are fed automatically into the game somehow. Sooo, yes, in a way, it has to be robots because I doubt 2k has someone on call every weekend in the summer to adjust things, and this mode has been advertised as having authentic line ups and starting pitchers to the day.

Also, the game mode SHOULD work properly..... and it doesn't. I tried to use the Blue Jays, who played yesterday, and there's no stats or anything, it's as if yesterdays' game doesn't exist!

This was advertised as a pretty major feature, so yes it should be working from the jump.

NBA2K12 has these same problems and we are 4 months in to the basketball season. While I don't expect perfection this mode is pretty good.

@aykyle The roster update on Wednesday had Arrieta as the #1 yet the living rosters has him #5. No excuse buddy

day 2 of mlb season today mode and the standings still show 0-0 for all teams and the scores that scroll by show all 0-0 scores as well as the ticker. is anyone else having this issue? I am using silver, could that be the issue?
