So no chain gang again? I'm guessing the sidelines haven't been improved at all. Looks like were gonna have another Super Nintendo looking sidelines. And no lineup before the game? Come on EA, assign like 20 people a job that only focuses on what the community wants and put that stuff in the game. You'll have a number 1 seller every year. Step your game up and give me a job there.lol. no seriously give me a job. -

It is unfortunate that once again EA has failed to implement the chain gang in the game, but yet they say they want to be authentic to real life. The chain gang should have been implemented this year rather than having someone parachute into the stadium and other presentations that will be skipped after 7 days of release. Additionally, with regards to sights, the predator moon dreads appear to be in this years game once again...SMH"Florida State, the only FBS Division-1 school to finish consecutively in the AP top 5 poll for 14 years. This is a record that no other collegiate football team will ever remotely come close to accomplishing again."

Just confirmed from yesterdays EA podcast, Haumiller stated, that updating the sidelines during gameplay (dynamic sidelines) will be "difficult" to upgrade this generation. Therefore the question concerning the sidelines for any upcoming iterations can be put to rest...finally..."Florida State, the only FBS Division-1 school to finish consecutively in the AP top 5 poll for 14 years. Re: NCAA Football 13 Interview - Sights and Sounds
I don't understand what you want them to say when things don't make the game. Should they say "no didn't feel like working hard enough to get everything done." I think the hardcore crowd (Operation Sports) needs to realize we aren't the only people talking. Meaning just cause you haven't read anything on this site doesn't mean people aren't asking for it. Don't forget they take NCAA on the road during the season and let college students play.Comment

A mostly honest interview but history suggests that 'didn't make it into this years game' equals 'it never will make it into the game'.
I expect the game will have some great crowd/game sounds, commentary will be initially fresh but become repetitive quickly, while visually there will be few if any major changes from a broadcast presentation perspective.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 13 Interview - Sights and Sounds
Does anyone know what Heisman mode is?
Besides this small blub?
There are familiar faces on the field in NCAA Football 13, which now features a selection of former Heisman Trophy winners. With the new Heisman Challenge mode, fans have the ability to utilize the skill set of a legendary Heisman Trophy winner in a quest to match his award-winning historical performances and win the Heisman trophy once again.
When I saw the Heisman ad and read the "blub" the addition of Player Roles/Traits to NCAA 13 immediately came to mind. In the ad, all the former Heisman winners label their "skill set" and the blubs states that those skill sets can be utilized in NCAA 13. Now I think that's a pretty good way to make the Heisman mode relevant to NCAA 13 as a whole, not just that one area. The most exciting part about this possibility for me is, that if correct, highlighting Desmond Howard's legendary return ability would probably require some work finally being done to Special Teams.
With regards to what Ben stated wasn't added, like the Chain Gang and sideline upgrades, I think it's premature to be all over them about it. In every interview the developers keep using the term "BIG" in relation to gameplay and that's what people have been clamoring for, FOREVER. So at least wait until the gameplay stuff is revealed before hammering them about that other stuff that has already been said to use up RAM or whatever resources, that can effect gameplay.
I know Madden has the chain gang but maybe the trade off is NCAA decided to use that memory for cheerleader/song girls/mascots because they are more signature to collegiate traditions. As long as both deliver "big" upgrades on gameplay, I can overlook missing chain gangs and cardboard sidelines.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 13 Interview - Sights and Sounds
This interview was misleading in a way. Instead of sights and sounds, it should have just been called "audio" interview because that is pretty much the only thing they talked about all week long.
I see they keep dodging certain questions that definitely falls under SIGHTS.
1. Field degradation
2. Dirty uniforms
3. The size of the football
4. The look of the grass on field. Last year's grass fields looked terrible.
5. Fixing the upside down logos in the middle of the field when you are playing coach mode.
April 17th can't come soon enough for me. It better blow my mind, bring a tear to my eye and have me screaming like a girl who just seen the latest Twilight movie.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 13 Interview - Sights and Sounds
What's up, guys. I'm new here, so I'm looking to get involved around here quickly.
Overall, I thought the interview just answered a lot of questions that were addressed in the webcast. I'm still wondering why they're ducking the trophy presentation question though.
Also, I noticed something in the interview that sounded...intriguing, at best.
Any upgrades to "on the field" audio? The cracking of helmets and shoulder pads, for example.
Our hit system is being fully re-mixed this year. The system and content we have is extensive. We have the ability to tune every element of the hit, based on force, and it cascades out into pad and helmet collisions, as well as all body collisions, grunts etc.
Overall, I thought the interview was good, even though they ducked some questions. I'm still wondering who the mystery commentator will be, though I'm betting it's Rece Davis. All eyes on 4/17 now...Comment

Another question that has been avoided for the 5th straight year is camera angles?..Wich in my experience usually means that there are no new camera angles.I know that there were several posters that asked the camera angle question for this interview and not one of them were answered.incredible!!..Maybe gameplay will blow our mind..but the direction this game is going is baffling to me..http://twitter.com/sageinfinite
