What exactly do people mean by starting lineups in NCAA?
Yeah I agree. I mean, I'm not too keen on seeing a bunch of guys with the same face. It kinda reminds you that those guys aren't real players in a way. I definitely wouldn't mind starting lineups being in, but I don't mind that they're not either.

When you go to lineup for the first series, have the player portraits along with hometown, class, and size. The 'best' player in a position group could be highlighted in yellow as a player to watch for.

Commentary could be used to talk about either the position group or a player of note.

"a true freshman is starting at left tackle for the Bulldogs today. We'll keep an eye out for him handling the pass rush."

"the defensive line had 5 sacks last week. number 99 was a major force."

"The redshirt senior wide receiver is averaging over 100 yards receiver this year. We'll see how the defense tries to contain him."

"the redshirt junior linebacker ran a 4.4 in high school. he has a lot of nfl potential."

And once the community edits the roster names in, they could say the name.

"Jelani Jenkins, the redshirt junior linebacker ran a 4.4 in high school..."

The immersion would really do wonders for the presentation.

My bad for such a boneheaded post and question, I had a momentary brain freeze or something. LOL.

I just remembered that NCAA Basketball 10 accomplished this nicely and demonstrates exactly what people want in NCAA Football 13. I have to agree, it seems really strange that this will not be in NCAA Football 13 considering it was in Madden 12 and NCAA Basketball 10. I wonder what the reasoning is behind that. Maybe Ben misunderstood the question and had a brain freeze like me but this made it in. lol

I agree. That would be awesome.

Also adding some in game stats like previous years would be great.

I myself hate the fact the hair is attached to the face style. It should be separate.

Hopefully the dreads are for all body types. I hated last year when you couldn't give dreads to players of certain height, without changing the skin color.

I find this to be amazing. how great presentation with mediocre gameplay made this game awesome IMO. I still play this game today. The tournament selection and all of the presentation aspects of the game were great. And it was EA!!! which is why i dont understand why their presentation is still hindered. like they no REAL ESPN stuff and no COLLEGE GAMEDAY

That video pisses me off LOL.

It's not as if people are asking for things that can't be done. They aren't even asking for things that EA hasn't ALREADY done. That presentation for NCAA Basketball 10 video wasn't perfect, but its an awesome step in the right direction.

You want to capture college football's atmosphere?

Then why not college gameday or collage football scoreboard halftime show?

                    Too hard?

2k Had a show WITH HIGHLIGHTS of other teams games in 2004.

                    <iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/CLFQUk4eS-A" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" width="560"></iframe>

8 years later, and NCAA doesn't have anything...anything that tries to build on what was already possible with so much less? Use your ESPN License.

College Football Gameday and a College Football Recap show (like College Football Final) that discuses top 25 games and heisman chase captures the atmosphere and love of college football possibly more than any other presentation thing I can think of.

And even if this is apparently too much for them to do, is it really that hard to put up more Broadcast style stat overlays? And a ticker for the games going on around the nation?

Everytime I go into my 'give them the benefit of the doubt' phase, I see a video like that and it reminds me that 8 years ago I was seeing halftime shows and recap shows on football games, and I could only imagine how amazing it would be 10 years later.

                    lol...fail.

How is it possible, that NHL 94 had a scroll bar with scores, and highlights of other games, yet EA is unable to do this on current gen consoles? Is mystifying.

Re: NCAA Football 13 Interview - Sights and Sounds

Yeah some things just don't make sense why it isn't in the game. Some examples:

                        1. Chain gang. Clearly that can't take up THAT MUCH memory.

                        2. Camera angles. Once again.......you have them in for the highlight reel feature, why can't you unlock them for the ENTIRE game ? Not like you creating something, it is already there, just locked to the highlight reel feature.

Apparently the HDR lighting feature, 3D grass and team intros are HUGE memory hogs or something. At the end of the day you have to ask yourself. Is these 3 features worth it ? Memory is limited and lord knows last year game had a LONG loading screen.

On one hand I'm at the point where I want to yell, bring on the new consoles !!!!!!! But a part of me says I don't feel like waiting 4 more years for EA to catch up to the point they are now. Because with new consoles mean a new learning curve and all that other stuff.

But then again another part of me makes me want to scream, release a PC version !!!!!

Bingo. The more useless things they put in the game that nobody touches.

Is the Season Showdown "feature" still around?

I've never actually paid attention to it. But I do know the negative points I would get for running up the score was annoying.

Amazing how they don't answer questions...
"Are any of the new stadiums included? What about pro stadiums, which could be used as neutral site games?"

So where is the answer about the Pro Stadiums? You have them all in Madden, why are we missing them from NCAA as Neutral game sites?

Lots of "hopefully next year" in this interview so when EA wonders why people didn't buy the game we can tell them "hopefully next year"
