2012 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals: Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Philadelphia Flyers

Not going to have the official playoff thread overrun by the inevitable Pittsburgh/Philly arguing, so this series gets its own thread.

Note that this will be the only series to get its own individual thread (aside from the Finals).

I'll say Philly in 7. They almost always manage to bring it up a level in the playoffs.
Of course they're still in the 1st period of the current game so who knows what shenagians may occur that could affect this.

Though I just learned since the Pens got their new building they haven't beat the Flyers there. 5 perhaps? But this game is still going. Still expect shenanigans.

      7 it is.

I'd say Pittsburgh in 7. Even though I'm a big Flyers fan, I just don't know if they can hold off players like Crosby, Malkin, Neal, & Letang. There's no question that players like Giroux, Hartnell, & Jagr could step it up a notch, The Pens have too much firepower & Bryzgalov can't keep them in the game forever.

You may not even see Bryz. If Bob can stay tough in goal today, he might get the nod.

This thread should be surrounded in a steel cage, WWE-style.

All the injuries worry me but I still think we can pull it off in 7 games. If Game 7 is tied after regulation I demand a Lavy/Bylsma fight at center ice to determine which team advances.
