You can. Put him on the Nats major league roster then go back into practice and use him.Comment

You DO NOT need to use 30 team control to have MANUAL injuries.(and you can switch it back to ON after and back and forth at any time).first I want to say a big thank you to everyone who puts in so much hard work for these awesome rosters..easily the best of any game..second in regards to players being injured to start the season..like howard and martinez and guys like that..during the season will teams call those guys up or what? i dont do 30 team control so i was just wondering..i wouldnt want those guys in the minors or injured forever so how does that work? thxs in advance
Just choose which team....put injuries to MANUAL at the USER SETTINGS-GAMEPLAY options page and then make sure that the profile is also the DEFAULT profile.
The only thing you can't do with that is put them on the DL yourself.(you can give them the injuries...just not make the DL move)

The cpu will not place their long term "manually" injured players on the DL right? You DO NOT need to use 30 team control to have MANUAL injuries.(and you can switch it back to ON after and back and forth at any time).

Can someone answer the question about teams calling up players if they are in the minors when the season starts? I use 30 team control but I'm not really concerned about real life injuries.Comment

Re: Operation Sports Full Minors 2012 Roster - Spring Training Edition Available Now
I wasn't really sure how to search the thread for this other than "Middlebrooks" and that didn't get any results, so: I noticed that Red Sox minor leaguer Will Middlebrooks was listed as "Middlebrook." I didn't really think it was a big deal, it's the first draft of a huge roster, it's an easily fixable mistake, etc. It turns out that there's a hard character limit for last names and that he's a letter shy of it. That was kind of a downer, since I had been planning on doing a Red Sox franchise and he was going to be a big part of it, but now his just barely incorrect name bugs me too much.
Basically what I want to know is A) are there any other big prospects with cutoff names and B) why is there an 11 character limit in the first place? It seems kind of silly, especially when the same organization has Saltalamachia.Comment

If you leave ROSTER MOVES or whatever it's called..(I can't remember off hand....not MANAGEMENT...that's hiring firing coaches) the CPU will do it if you use 30 team control and DL players with MANUAL injuries.
If you have injuries on ON....and let the CPU handle roster moves...it will do them
When we edit players....there is a letter limit. Middlebrooks exceeds the limit.I wasn't really sure how to search the thread for this other than "Middlebrooks" and that didn't get any results, so: I noticed that Red Sox minor leaguer Will Middlebrooks was listed as "Middlebrook." There is a thread with the roster moves. I think strut24 does it.
Aroid....I don't know why the team doesn't DL players.....and I forgot to ask them that once again...sorry.

Re: Operation Sports Full Minors 2012 Roster - Spring Training Edition Available Now
The White Sox have acquired infielder Jose Castro from the Reds according to Mark Gonzales of The Chicago Tribune (on Twitter). He was assigned to Triple-A Charlotte. Castro, 25, hit .306/.343/.354 in 318 plate appearances in Cincinnati's minor league system last year. He's a .262/.307/.314 career hitter in the minors and has never played in the big leagues.Comment

Re: Operation Sports Full Minors 2012 Roster - Spring Training Edition Available Now
Hi Knight (or whomever can help me out with this rosters question). First of all, thank you so much for all the work this community has done with the rosters. So far, they have been great to play with and I'm really looking forward to the updated version that goes live tomorrow so that I can begin my franchise!
My question is this: I am new to The Show, buy have been furiously reading how to set up the 25 man rosters in franchise mode by manually controlling all 30 teams, etc. I understand how to option the 15 players to the minors who will not be part of the regular season 25 man roster. How do I know which players are the 15 that I need to option to the minors for each of the 30 teams and what level I should option them to? Is there a spreadsheet or website that has been posted for this information? I don't need to manually injure players who are beginning the season on the DL, but would really like to get the 25 man rosters as close to real as possible.
Please help me understand this piece of the puzzle. I would love an answer to this by the time the updated rosters come out tomorrow night!
Thanks!Comment
